Good morning, MMC!
Merry Friday!!
TGIF!!
Adi & I are enjoying an autumn blend together, and I'm making some apple cider muffins. The house smells great.
Wishing you all a blessed day!

That sounds like an awesome morning! I bet your house smells amazing. Hope you were able to sleep in a little this morning. Enjoy your day off!

Thank you!
The commute wasn't quite so bad. Traffic is usually lighter on Fridays, and in the construction zone, they actually had a detour laid out, and policemen directing traffic. One more commute, then the weekend!

Speaking of starting the weekend at quitting time on Friday: There's a Hawaiian term, "pau hana," that means "work is over (let's party)." I often think of that when I get out on Friday!
I'm glad your commute was a little easier on the way to work this morning. Get your commute over tonight & guess what....it's the weekend!
Pau hana! :D

Well, he made a wrong turn coming home and got lost in the wilds of Boston and got home very late as a result, but he got to talk to old friends he hadn't seen in a long while. I'll hear more about it later. I'm sure he feels better now.
Oh no! I'm sure that was frustrating for him but I'm glad he made it home safely & was able to re-connect with some of his friends!

Top O' the morning all. Today (tonight) will actually be a Friday for me this week. I took off an extra day (Saturday) to get all my work done and then hopefully (cross my fingers) I can relax for the full opening weekend of the NFL. And with that in mind...

Have a great weekend everyone!
Nice! Enjoy your days off & NFL! Hope you get to relax all you want! :)

Finally got my packing done for vacation, just a few toiletries that will need to be packed tomorrow. Now just relaxing until I have to take Carolina to the baby sitters before I have work
You didn't have anyone behind you un-packing this time? :p :D
Have a great day & a wonderful vacation!!!

My yearly job evaluation started promptly at 9:30a and it's already over. Everything went well and my boss is pleased and I received a raise. My Friday has definitely started off on the right foot.
YAY! Congrats!!!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I'm sitting drinking coffee and listening to Elvin Bishop. As Charlie Daniels said about him, "He ain't good lookin', but he shore can play." :D

We had a little excitement in Bellville last night. My sister-in-law called me at 9:30 to say that there were several guys loitering in Bernie's store parking lot. This unnerves Bernie & Hilda because they live right next door, and it's dark in that area at night. So, I got in my truck and went to the store. Sure enough, there were 7 or 8 young guys standing around. I stopped and asked them if they were waiting to meet someone, and they said they were. I went inside the post office (which is attached to the store), and when I came out, they were running up the street. They ran to the school parking lot, not far from my house, and got in the back of a couple trucks and took off. I followed them to see what the deal was.

By that time, lots of folks were out on the porches to see what was going on. Someone called the sheriff, and he stopped the boys. It seems it is Homecoming weekend at their school, and one of the football players lives in Bellville, so they came to "bathroom-tissue roll" his house. LOL Don't they know to do that LATE at night?! I'm one of about three men under 70 in Bellville, and most of the population consists of widows, who are easily frightened.

I hope the boys didn't get in trouble, but they really should wait until everyone is asleep to do that kind of thing!

Taking Elizabeth to dance tonight. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Morning Brad!

Well I'm glad it was just some innocent toilet papering going on....but ya, that can be unnerving! You should tip them off about waiting until people are in bed...and don't loiter in parking lots. Just git 'r done! Ha ha ha!
:D :p

Have a Fantastic Day!

Hope you found something yummy for your solo supper!
I made the turkey tenderloin per recommendation of @made582 for supper last night - I had the rotisserie style & it was delicious. While at the store I also picked up another one, cracked black pepper flavor! :D
I threw together something serviceable, if not quite yummy!

The turkey tenderloin sounds delish. I wish we had them around here. I'm pretty sure we don't; I've never seen them among the pre-packaged turkey items in the stores around here. Mr. would love them---he's never tired of turkey!

Awesome! Would love to see some pics when you are done! :D
I picked up a little small pumpkin table last night. I had seen it last week & didn't pick it up & I kept kicking myself. So I went back last night & got it! Not sure where I'll put it, but I'll find a home for it! :D
Thanks for reminding me ... I have a little velvet decor pumpkin that I want to bring to work later.

The 2-foot tabletop autumn tree with little LED lights that I picked up last weekend is a hit at the office. I've gotten so many remarks about it! I don't have a lot of space at home for extensive seasonal decorating (nor the space to store seasonal decorations off-season), so I like to put a few things out at the office, where I can enjoy them during the workday.

Congrats on the great outcome! I know you're glad it's done for this year!

Congratulations on your evaluation and your raise Ladybugkisses! There's nothing I enjoy more as a manager than to give a good appraisal and inform the employee of a subsequent raise. I always say that an evaluation is never a surprise, it's just the sum of all feedback given during the year. Great way to lead up to the weekend indeed!

Awesome story! Yeah they didn't think their plan through, did they?

So at the end of the month we're holding a sale at work of anything made with apples (it's the season after all). I volunteered for savory this time. Too many people wanted to do desserts, so a few of us "sacrificed" ourselves to come up with savory meals made with apples. So I'm looking online for something good. If anyone has any tried-and-true recipe to share, I'd be most thankful.

It was very good & moist. The package says you can make it on the grill, bake, or broil it. I baked ours last night. I actually found them at our store in the butcher's dept, by all the raw chicken, ground beef, sausage, etc.

That's a great idea. Something to brighten up the work place! :)

Good luck!! I think most of my recipes using apples are for desserts! Let us know what you come up with! :) You may have already looked, but the Taste of Home website may have some good ideas!

A savory apple dish, eh? That's a tough one!

My mom makes an awesome German dish called Rouladen, and one of the dishes she includes is German Red Cabbage cooked with apples and vinegar. It's great!
