It's Fridaaaayyy and it couldn't have come at a better time. I just wish it was Friday at 4:30p but I'll take what I can get for now. Another morning when we all left on time. Lizzy was a little frazzled about her hair but she worked it out and made it to the bus stop on time.

I have my yearly evaluation this morning at 9:30 - I choose the time so that I could just do it and get it over with. Nothing worse than sitting across from your boss trying to come up with small talk in between her evaluating you. UGH!

I do hope that everyone has a fantastic Friday whether at home, work or a lil bit of both.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! 4 day work week still feels pretty long huh? But we're at another Friday and our 2nd weekend of September approaching. Going to be a warm/humid day Saturday but a cooler/less humid day Sunday. Looks like next week will be a little more September-like. Looking forward to having fun with Rollins this weekend, some pizza tonight, and of course usual errands etc. but hopefully some time to relax.

I picked up a little small pumpkin table last night. I had seen it last week & didn't pick it up & I kept kicking myself. So I went back last night & got it! Not sure where I'll put it, but I'll find a home for it!

Top O' the morning all. Today (tonight) will actually be a Friday for me this week. I took off an extra day (Saturday) to get all my work done and then hopefully (cross my fingers) I can relax for the full opening weekend of the NFL. And with that in mind...

Finally got my packing done for vacation, just a few toiletries that will need to be packed tomorrow. Now just relaxing until I have to take Carolina to the baby sitters before I have work

My yearly job evaluation started promptly at 9:30a and it's already over. Everything went well and my boss is pleased and I received a raise. My Friday has definitely started off on the right foot.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I'm sitting drinking coffee and listening to Elvin Bishop. As Charlie Daniels said about him, "He ain't good lookin', but he shore can play."

We had a little excitement in Bellville last night. My sister-in-law called me at 9:30 to say that there were several guys loitering in Bernie's store parking lot. This unnerves Bernie & Hilda because they live right next door, and it's dark in that area at night. So, I got in my truck and went to the store. Sure enough, there were 7 or 8 young guys standing around. I stopped and asked them if they were waiting to meet someone, and they said they were. I went inside the post office (which is attached to the store), and when I came out, they were running up the street. They ran to the school parking lot, not far from my house, and got in the back of a couple trucks and took off. I followed them to see what the deal was.

By that time, lots of folks were out on the porches to see what was going on. Someone called the sheriff, and he stopped the boys. It seems it is Homecoming weekend at their school, and one of the football players lives in Bellville, so they came to "bathroom-tissue roll" his house. LOL Don't they know to do that LATE at night?! I'm one of about three men under 70 in Bellville, and most of the population consists of widows, who are easily frightened.

I hope the boys didn't get in trouble, but they really should wait until everyone is asleep to do that kind of thing!

I remember seeing houses toilet papered, and sporked around Homecoming. Some things never change.

Good morning, friends!

The weekend is almost here - again! According to the forecast, the temperature is to calm down a little bit by only reaching the 80s via humidex tomorrow. As of right now, it's the only day in the long range forecast to reach it, too. Autumn air could be on its way.

Yesterday, I saw that it was about 27c/77f outside before I went for my run. I didn't think that the humidex would be that bad. When I arrived home after my 8.35km/5.2mile run, my clothes were absolutely drenched and I could barely move. The real reason? Well, it was more than 100f with humidex!

Well, we're only two days away from NFL Sunday Kickoff. It was great to watch some football last night with the Broncos beating the Panthers. What an exciting game, too! Don't worry, Crown, your Panthers still look great!

I should do a few things around the house now though. Have a great Friday, everyone!!

Evening everyone,
I am struggling to reply to everyone today. It's been a busy day. Thankfully it is winding down now. Outside is very windy and overcast and I am listening to some jazz while I prepare another autumn inspired dish for our supper.

Well gang, it's almost quitting time here! Yippee!!

Tonight is the big game for our HS football team. Jim is going to the game - hopefully the rain holds off! xx Last year the 50/50 drawing at the game between these 2 teams was $20,000.00 - at a HIGH SCHOOL football game. Crazy! Lots of supporters!!
