Christmas Countdown - 2016

I am so sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with those affected by the sudden passing.

Thank you ... Mr. said a HUGE number of people were there; they were letting only five or six at a time go in, and the others were waiting outside to get in. Mr. stayed a few hours and was able to speak to the guy's mother, and catch up with some old friends of his from the office. There were a lot of tears and a few smiles at memories. They think the guy had a sudden massive heart attack ... although he was only 38. It made us all ruminate on human mortality. Death chooses its own time and place to strike, without regard for our plans and hopes.

We're having some on-and-off thunderstorms here this morning, so I'm leery of doing video work on the computer, but I'll be doing some more Christmas work today at some point! I think Mr. is going through the gift stash to see who we still need to buy for. We usually get our shopping list organized around this time of year, because we mail so many gifts to friends outside of our area.

Seems like a lot of us around MMC are getting a cooler shot of air. It's nice!

We have some storms coming through this morning with a chance for more later in the afternoon. Then it's supposed to go down to about 48F tonight (!). So maybe the summer heat is finally breaking once and for all. At least, there are no more 90s in the forecast!

Good fall morning folks! Although it'll still be almost 90 and sticky out there today. We're getting better though! Went grocery shopping early. Now, I've got church and planning for some programs I'm leading this week, and more errands around the house while watching FOOTBALL. I can't wait to watch! Hope everyone has a good one!
