Happy Friday everyone! I feel a call to the pediatrician will be in my future. Carolina was up at 2am and felt very warm. She wouldn't let me take her temperature but I was certain she had a fever. She still feels very warm.
It is supposed to be a very dreary and rainy day so I guess this is the best day for her to not be feeling well so snuggles and chores it will be before I head to work at 2. Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and a great last day of September!

We will be seeing a lot of the family together this Fall.
It did work good, Har enjoyed the extra time with Adi, and he's had a productive weekend so far, as well.

We did pretty good Thursday/Friday, thanks. She was restless, but seemed ok, just not very tired as she's not able to get much exercise right now.

Funny you mention being cozy b/c I did have quite a cozy (lazy) night!! Stopped at Moms after work, stayed longer than planned. Got home & decided to mow the lawn b/f rain came. Changed clothes, walk in the garage - it's raining! Then it stopped. So I thought - maybe I can at least get the front mowed. Got that done, so I started on the back yard. I got sprinkled on the whole time mowing in back but I got it done....I no more than got the mower in the garage & it started POURING! LOL! Whew! But that took my motivation to do anything b/c it rained all night. So I started crocheting an infinity scarf! I forced myself to get up every once in awhile to get some things done, but wow what a lazy night! By 7:00 it was so dark outside b/c of the rain - I really dislike that!

Sounds like a productive night! Glad you were able to relax in the latter part of the evening. What color(s) are you doing with the scarf?

It does get dark so early now...

Practice went well! The students that showed up didn't seem to mind that it was a mixed (guys and girls) practice. It was short, but we had fun!

The trees are starting to turn so I saw bursts of oranges, reds, and yellows.
I also found a few quaint country churches that I had to check out. That is something I love to do, discover old country churches, schools, cemeteries, etc. It was perfect weather for the wedding and reception!
It was 72 degrees and sunny, by the time we left it was in the 50's. Clear night, beautiful farm, dancing under the stars =]
They had a bonfire, we all roasted marshmallows & made s'mores with the kids. What a blast!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It was 60°F this morning...downright chilly for us!! Excuse me while I do the happy dance!

Now then. We toured the house we were interested in, and now we're not interested. It had a crazy layout, with too much wasted space. As much as I covet the AWESOME shop in the back yard, we'll have to pass on this place. Too bad, since it is in Bellville. I'd really like to stay here, if possible.

They say that the older you get, the quicker time seems to pass. I must be getting toward the end of my life...; it feels like my years now come in six month intervals!

Tomorrow I pick up the Hallmark ornaments on our wish list. I'm taking DD & mom shopping. Hopefully I can get out the Halloween decor too. It's time to bring out the fall/winter clothes & put away the spring/summer stuff a little at a time.

It has been a great weekend with family & friends! My cousin Dustin had a fabulous wedding day!! <3

Well we had a few creepy clown sightings here on Long Island. I know these sightings are probably just pranks but I'm afraid someone is going to end up taking it too far. A couple of local school districts were on alert after clowns were spotted carrying bats. There were also reports of groups of clowns approaching cars. I have three girls, I have to worry about this nonsense. Seriously, what is wrong with people? It's annoying.

That is so creepy. I just don't understand people...

Harlowe is doing pretty well, although she was so playful tonight and I couldn't get her to calm down. Every time I went near her, she thought we were playing catch me if you can. Then she took a flying leap off the bed. I sure hope she didn't just re-injure her disc.

As I've said through out the years, it feels as though my inner christmas alarm clock goes off on the 01st of October ! I wake up knowing it is the 01st and can almost hear the sleigh bells. I think of it as the pre season to the season. It's a personal milestone.

It is the start of everything that we love so much about this time of year. The leaves are turning and falling. Pumpkins are arriving. The wind is fragrant with autumn's scent and brooding with a haunting eeriness as Halloween takes centre stage. Slowly Christmas starts casting it's spell.

Wishing each of you a happy October and build up to all the festivities to follow.

Good Saturday morning! So glad to have a 3-day weekend. Yesterday we held an apple-themed food sale at work and it was a big success and everything was sooooo delicious. But no more work for 3 days! This morning we have errands to run. They announce rain and clouds all weekend, perfect weather for movies. Hope everyone will have a fantastic weekend!

Good Morning, Folks.

Back in the saddle again after a productive trip to the cottage where everything is ship-shape after another rental season.

The first order of business is to thank our tandem volunteers, Edge and NcGunny, for keeping the count moving along in my absence.

The second order of business is to recover from the shock at how far along our count has moved and just how close we are to the LAST Milestone before the commencement of Christmas Season 2016 on November 13.

Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85

And the REAL shock is that we are down to a scant SIX days until the beginning of the HOME STRETCH to the Season (the 90 percent point).
That's LESS THAN ONE, LONE, SINGLE WEEK, Guys!


Real nice weather at the coast with a brief storm late Thursday morning after I had already completed all of my outside work.
More rain back here at home today but nothing severe despite the issuance of two severe weather warnings this afternoon.
We have a current temperature reading of 72 degrees here in the capital city.

Good Morning Festive. It's always a good sign for a nice day when I see your early morning posts. It is October and I am more than ready for it. Especially since yesterday ended on a not-so-fantastic note.
Cars needed repairs, wife had to see a doctor for her eye, daughter had a doctor's appointment which wound up her having to go to the hospital for some tests (waiting for the reply) and with all of that going on, I got very little sleep.
But in all that, I try to keep a positive outlook. There are a ton more people in this world a whole lot worse off than me and even concerning the car repairs... even though I had planned the money in a different direction, at least I had it and did not have to go into debt.
So all in all... I continue to be blessed by God as He supplies all my needs. Have a calm weekend and a fantastic start to October.
