Good morning ~
It's going to be cloudy today with a high of 72 degrees. Typical day for me, I have errands and I'll be working on some chores around the house. I'm going to Target later this morning. I think I better start stocking up on Halloween candy, haven't bought any yet. I may stop at the gardening center to pick up mums at well. That's about it for me.

Do you have a lot of kids trick or treating in your area? We're on the third floor so we don't give out candy but I see fewer kids each year on the streets. Have a great day, hope you find the mums you want (I had to look up what those were, very nice).

Merry Monday!!

Hope you guys had a good weekend.
The children are celebrating harvest at school this week. I always look forward to this time so much.

The current headline is Britain to face 4 months of snow in Game of Thrones type winter. Pahahahaha Don't worry. They always come up with these predictions right around this time of year.

The weather has plummeted though. Woke up to 30s yesterday ans today Brrr! I know it's not that cold but it takes a while to adjust!!!

Festive, Winter is coming. Love that title though. What do the kids do at school to celebrate harvest? Stay warm in the cooler temperatures and enjoy your day.

Winter is coming !

At school, the children will have various harvest themed activities like songs, stories, learn the importance of giving, being thankful and growing crops etc.

They will be gathering vegetables from their allotments and collecting canned food to give to a couple of the local shelters. They also put on a little Harvest pageant and parents are invited to a harvest gathering at the local church. Donations from the gathering this year will go to families in Ethiopia so they can acquire donkeys to transport food and water.

My youngest also has a craft afternoon where I am invited to do craft with him Should be fun.

I just picked up our mums yesterday, hopefully the Japanese beetles will leave them alone this time, they usually kill the ones that I have bought in September, in years past.
