Goodnight, friend~
Good afternoon, everyone!
Kim, her mom, sister, SIL, and two best friends are off searching for her wedding dress. I actually received a text a few minutes ago and apparently she has already found her dress. Isn't that amazing? Apparently, now, I just have to wait about 340 days to see it.
As for me, I am hanging out at Kim's mom's house. I was hoping it would be nice day so that I could go out for a nice long run. Instead, it's been raining all day, and I am stuck inside. Hopefully it stops soon... I really need to do some exercise. At least I am currently enjoying my revisitation of Season 6 of Scrubs for about the 10th time. I must say, it still hasn't lost its hilarity or emotion. Every time I watch, it's just like the first time. Easily my favourite show of all-time.
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!
Happy anniversary! It's our anniversary weekend! We're thinking of driving up to Vermont tomorrow just to spend a pleasant day.
ETA: Just found out there's a Christmas store in Quechee!
My girlfriend & I came across this recipe a few years back, and we have been enjoying it ever since.
Apple Cider Bread or Muffins
Yield: 2 loaves or 18 muffins
Ingredients
Instructions
- 1 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1-1/2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 cups apple cider
- 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans or 18 muffin cups. Cream butter and 1-1/4 cups of the sugar in a large bowl. Add the eggs and cream thoroughly. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and 1-1/2 teaspoons of the cinnamon and add to the egg mixture, alternating with the apple cider. Stir in chopped apples. Divide the batter between the loaf pans or pour into the muffin cups. Combine the remaining sugar with the remaining teaspoon of cinnamon in a small bowl, and sprinkle it over the batter. Bake for 50 to 70 minutes for bread, or for 30 to 40 minutes for muffins, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Awww so adorable! She's my nieces. They got her 10 weeks ago. She comes to visit often though and we stop out and see her anytime we are out that way.
Here she is in the bows that my nieces got her. They stayed on about a minute after she was let down-

DYHWIH your story about the video chat both made me smile and cry. Sending hugs your way.Merry morning MMC! My sweet kitty should pass any time now. Vet saw him yesterday and said he probably would go this weekend. I got to video chat with my family so I could say goodbye to him. He raised his paw when I said hi.We will miss him so much. He has been a wonderful cat!
I'm working this AM which is why I can't be home with him. Listening to some quiet Christmas music seems to be helping my mood a bit. I hope everyone has a lovely day today! The rain is stopping after about 48 hours straight of rain. No flooding here though. 11 weeks to the big day from today! Looking forward to enjoying it with you.Take care friends.
I really hope the storm has passed now and that everyone in your area is safe and sound. The wind has really picked up. Heavy rain and street flooding occurring. Flash flood and high wind warnings out for all of the eastern half of NC.
Our power is still on for now but branches down in the yard.
We are in for a rough next few hours until this system lifts off to the east!
I know what you're going through and I hope you feel glad you got to talk to him yesterday.Merry morning MMC! My sweet kitty should pass any time now.
