[Holiday]

We were lucky with our property. We had a LOT of smaller limbs down, several large limbs, and some damage to the house and my shop. It'll be a while before it's back to normal, but overall we fared well. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the damage, but I'm glad you're safe!!! I hope clean up & repair goes better than expected!

Happy Tuesday! I am so late getting on today and need to catch up. My oldest daughter is home from school with some type of weird allergic reaction on her face, her eye was almost swollen shut and neck. I took her to the Dr this morning and they are not really sure what it is but gave her 3 days of oral steroids so hopefully that will get rid of it.
Just working today and hope everyone has a good day!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! I woke up to 41 degrees and I'm freezing. Funny thing is in the winter when we get into the low 40s it feels warm lol. Perception is one's reality. Beautiful sunshine out though and temps supposed to get into the low-mid 60s. Beautiful October weather. Rollins woke up at 3AM...I tried to keep my eyes closed so he'd go back to sleep. Trying to slow down this month. Anyone want to help?

[Holiday]

Morning ... well thankfully none of the outside Halloween decorations got damaged in the wind just missing 2 small stakes for the inflatables but we have spares so no biggie. I was able to untangle everything and get them back into their spots although I may have to reconsider the current placement incase we get more wind. I don't want a repeat so may have to do some rearranging this weekend.

Think I am going to start working on the main floor hall closet and get the winter hats/gloves/scarves organized. Still have stuff in boxes from when we moved in last year. I am pretty sure I can get rid of some of them and pass the ones that are to small down to nieces/nephews in the family.

[Holiday]

Both pictures are beautiful, but I really LOVE the second one. On Sunday afternoon it was sunny with a little wind, so I washed our flannel bed sheets and hung them outside to dry. When I brought them in that evening, they weren't quite dry, but they smelled like every good thing that is fall/winter. When I went outside to take them off the line, that smelled wonderful too! It smelled like coming inside after playing in the snow, like my dad's work overalls, like wood burning stove, fresh air, etc. I felt so ALIVE! I tried explaining it to Ryan, but he didn't quite get it. Ah, well. We all have our own nostalgic smells. Anyway, the picture made me think of Sunday. It was nice to FEEL fall.

My long weekend was short! LOL Or at least it sure seemed like it! It just flew! But it was nice. We had beautiful chillier weather. Yesterday we went to the farmers market/pumpkin patch. I picked up a couple more mums & several pumpkins. So fun!! We ate Mexican for lunch & spent the rest of the day at the lake. It was a nice day off.

Gracie seems 100% fine & crazy! (knocking on wood) She had a blast at the lake this weekend, as she always does.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I left work early yesterday to take Elizabeth to the orthodontist. She finally got the words she wanted; the braces come off in two weeks! Boy, was she ever happy!

When we got home, I started picking up limbs in my yard while the kids went to the football game. The usual Friday night game was postponed until last night because of the storm. Then Nancy and I watched a couple episodes of Longmire on Netflix.

More work in store for this evening, but at least Mama has power again, so I don't have to worry so much about her!

I know what you mean! It's amazing how fast weekends, especially long weekend, can go by! Yet, the work weeks can drag...
The farmers market & pumpkin patch sound like a blast!!
Thanks, the long weekend was awesome. A lot of relaxation, baking, good food, friends, movies, etc. Harlowe & I made a trip to the Potting Shed to pick up more pumpkins, gourds, mums, and scarecrows too. It was a fun adventure!
