Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning, Holiday Seekers.

Seek them and ye shall find.
They are just ahead. Not so far down the road, now.

Witness:
Days to Halloween: 18 (Just over 2 1/2 weeks!)
Days to the Season: 31 (ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 73 (UNDER 10 1/2 weeks to go!)
(Starting to close in on the beginning of a string of wonderful days that stretch from Halloween to New Year's Day!)


It was quite chilly again to start the day yesterday but warmed up to about 70 by the afternoon with plenty of sun and no precipitation of any kind. All in all, pretty nice for this time of the year. A warming trend is predicted for the next few days.
This morning has commenced clear at 53 degrees.

I worked till dark again yesterday, then watched some more Netflix with Nancy last night. This morning I've been running errands. I'm ready to get back to my regular job LOL.

I think everyone I know in this area finally has their power restored from the hurricane last Friday. I haven't heard from folks in Savannah, but that was where most of the restoration efforts were focused, so I assume they are close, too. You don't how much you depend on technology until you don't have it!

Thanks snowflake!! And thanks to Dr. @SnowflakeMom :D I asked the vet about a probiotic & they agreed it would be a good idea. I really like Gracie's vet a lot, she's excellent, but I was a little disappointed that they didn't bring that idea up to me - I had to ask. Anyway, no biggy! Maybe they were going to wait until they check her in 3 weeks to see if she needed it. I have to give her antibiotic morning & night & the probiotic at lunch - like you do for Har snowflake! I also got the probiotic from the vet. Hopefully I can get all these pills in her. The antibiotics are huge!!! :eek:

A bit of useless trivia that I usually drop in when someone mentions freezing fog: one meteorological term for freezing fog is "a pogonip."
 
Missed you all yesterday evening. Spent it diagnosing why our Internet/e-mail connection went down, and eventually (with the cable company's help) narrowed the problem down to our ancient router. So I'll be picking up a new one this evening, setting it up, and crossing my fingers that we'll be back online tonight.
