Haha Rollins!! So much energy! Leo is a garbage hound...he figured out how to open our cabinent door to get at the garbage so I had to put a child lock on it. He is a little devil...lol

We're lucky that Loki is not tall enough or strong enough to open the trash can lid. But if we happen to forget the pantry door open when we leave, we come home too all sorts of things all over the place. I once thought he had eaten a full bag of Dentastix (empty bag on the floor). He had actually hidden the stack behind a pillow on the couch.

Good morning, everyone!

It's still raining in Canada's Capital, but at least it's a decent morning... Decent, I say, thanks in part to a Packers victory and working, once again, at Immaculata, which is only about a five minute drive from my home. It's nice to only have a short drive and be able to be in and out of the gym by 5pm... I hope!

How goes that countdown? Only 10 days from Halloween? I still don't have a costume yet... I always have so many ideas, but never act upon them. It's going to look pretty good on Sunday... only three weeks away from the Christmas Season!

Well, I should probably get off here for a bit. I hope everyone has been having a great Friday, thus far! The weekend is so close!

I'm thinking that I need to stay up a little later so maybe he can sleep through. He had been but now he's getting into a bad routine of getting up and staying up half the night lol. TGIF!

Do you find that when you hear that record elsewhere, that doesn't have the skip, that you hear it in your brain anyway? That happens to me with Christmas recordings that I first knew from LPs---sometimes I can hear skips and scratches in CDs and MP3s that aren't there!

ALWAYS!! I never hear that song without hearing the skip! I also have this album on cd & yep...I know it skips too. Ha ha!

This reminds me of my nieces great dane, Brandy. This past spring they would keep her in a cage in the garage when they left. Well Brandy figured out how to open the cage (even if they zip tied the locks) then she would open the door from the garage to the house, once in the house she would open the pantry door & help herself. They would find her laying on the couch when they came home with evidence of what she had gotten into laying around the house. What a dog!

Yes even though we decided to put it at the back of our minds till the new year it remained listed. We had no interest over summer but once September hit we have had viewings every week. Not ideal this time of year when I want my decorations up etc but what can we do. It's the same story every time - love it but just too small/not enough living space. Anyway, I keep it to the back of my mind and try not to even think about it

We didn't end up watching Monster Squad last weekend so that's on the list. either that or Halloweentown tonight. Monster House , Hocus Pocus tomorrow and not decided what else but it's going to have to be PG with the kids around Will also watch some TV show specials.


What are you planning on watching?

My Mom has always said "Good things come to those who wait", your time is coming. And will probably happen when you're not focusing on it, too <3

They tell us what we want to know: just how far away our objective lurks.

Thus:
Days to Halloween: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS from TOMORROW!)
Days to the Season: 23 (Closing in on three weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 65 (Two months and four days!)
(Not dwindling down into a bedpost yet, but starting to get there.)


One last very warm (almost hot) day yesterday.
Today will be pleasantly warm.
Tomorrow will be cool.
Tomorrow night will be cold!
(And so it goes for the weather in these parts. This is not at all atypical.)
We stand at 66 degrees here right now and we could see a spot of rain this afternoon.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Well instead of 1AM like Thursday morning, Rollins let me sleep an extra hour (as xander mentioned to me) to 2AM! I had to play with him and then I finally got back to bed. Then I woke up and he had gotten into the garbage and got sick. He seemed fine when I left now. Other than being a little tired I am glad that it is Friday. Going to try to relax this evening with a good dinner and watch some Halloween shows. Saturday I'm going to do my usual errands I need to do. Sunday we're going to my Uncle's for our big Walking Dead return show/dinner. Should be a fun/good weekend.

It was an overall productive night. The gym went well, laundry was complete by the end of the first quarter of the Packers game... Oh, and the Packers won! Finally, they looked to be playing well in the second half. Now, hopefully they can get a healthy defence in the next 11 days! My brother and dad picked another decent game to attend. Lucky them!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

We're taking off for a short trip to the mountains today! Jacob is too old to hang out with the 'rents on the weekend, though, and he's staying behind. Time gets away from us too fast.

We've all gotten in the habit of watching a TV show together while we eat, and lately we've been watching the Flash on Netflix. It's a pretty good show, and it's time together. After the show, they retreat to homework or phones, so it's nice to have that time.

It was a great second half to watch. Let's hope they can do that against a decent Falcons team next week! They seemed to have a great time, as they always do. Glad your boss enjoyed it, too! Nothing beats the smell of those bratwursts. I'm looking forward to re-kindling my love for it on Christmas Eve!
