Nearly all the songs I've memorized are "brain recordings" of records I've known.
I have copies of "Miracle on 34th Street" & "It's a Wonderful Life", recorded more than 30 years ago, off an independent television station. Among other fun glitches and hiccups, the closing credit music gets cut off about two to five beats early, and goes right into the Liberty Pictures bells.

Oh, yes, film splices! Same deal---when watching movies I saw on TV long ago as less-than-pristine prints with various splices, my mind will sometimes play back the splices. Mr. has the same experience; when watching a DVD, he can point out which parts his local stations edited out to make it fit a particular time slot!

I wish Ottawa would turn our switch for November 4th... Actually, I don't even know if there is an official "turn on" date here. I know that Parliament usually turns on its lights around the first Thursday of December. Other places are earlier, but there really isn't an official date!
Not quite. I meant re-kindling as in going to the Packers vs. Vikings game at Lambeau on Christmas Eve. I missed out on Lambeau last year due to the strange scheduling. Happy to be going to the game this year, though!
