Hello everyone,

How are you all doing?

This morning I got the news that my son's (who's almost 1 & a half) will have his surgery done just a couple of days before Christmas (on the 23), which means we will be spending Christmas and the holidays in hospital. The surgery was supposed to have been done before so I had been hoping it would all be over by Christmas and I had made all sorts of plans...now everything's changed and I have to change everything. I had even been planning to host a party for my husband's family on the 23rd. Anyway, I just hope the surgery will go well and be successful and there will be no complications and that he won't be in too much pain.

On a more positive note, since we won't be home for Christmas, we'll decorate the house earlier and in hospital hopefully the atmosphere will be merrier than usual. They even give out Christmas gifts to the kids so hopefully the experience won't be as bad for my son.
Oh KG I am so sorry to hear you and your family are going this. I understand how worried you all must be. Please know that I will be praying for your son and for you all . Keep courage and I hope that the season's magic will help get you through.

Merry Friday Eve!! Just a cloudy day here and still pretty warm. Crazy for November but I did hear our 2nd half of the month is supposed to be chilly, which is fine with me. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning K.G. Sorry to hear that your plans will have to be put aside, but quite understandably. My prayers will be added to I'm sure many others for a successful operation and speedy recovery. The plans you have for Christmas at the hospital reflect not only your holiday spirit, but the size of your heart.
Have a very "Thankful Thursday". I know it is early, but...

Happy Thursday to you SnowflakeMom. In the 40's here, which about right for this time of year. That is nice and keeps the ground from freezing before Thanks giving then I'm all for it. Have a phenomenal day.

So sorry to hear your plans were upset in that way. But it sounds like you are working around that to keep things as merry as possible. I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your family.

Thank you holiday! Just trying to keep positive and look at the positive things,...this is one of the hardest things I've had to face in my life even though I've been through a lot myself, but to have my son have surgery when he's still so young, I would trade places with him if I could but I can't.
Continued prayers, strength, courage & (((Hugs))) heading your way. I can only imagine what you must be feeling! I'm sure it's scary, but keep the faith he will pull through this with flying colors! My niece (my Godchild) had to have open heart surgery when she was just under 2 years old. Such a scary time. But she's 30 years old now with 3 beautiful "babies" of her own! I'll be thinking of you all!

Goodness! I'll send a prayer for a successful surgery and a quick recovery for him!

What! No plans on who's hosting yet!! How will I know whose house to show up at! Get planning!

:D Hope you are having a great day and Miss Gracie is doing well.
I know! We better get moving on that, huh!?! I'll keep you posted! :)

We have all been taking turns staying with mom on the weekends, we have my future nieces bridal shower November 12th, then the wedding Dec. 10 - lots of family time ahead. I don't think anybody is too focused on hosting right now! ;) We'll get there! :p

My day is going pretty great. Gracie was a jolly pooch this morning. :D Hope your day is going great too!

Merry Friday Eve SFM! We have 60's today & pretty much through next week, but the rest of the 15 day forecast looks like 50's. (subject to change :p)
Have a wonderful day!!!

A very good morning to all the MMC members. Second day down at work. Management getting nervous like always as the back store rooms fill up to overflowing. Glad that is one headache I no longer have. Went down to the DMV to get new registrations for both cars and it seemed like Christmas early... no one in line! ;)
Then stopped at the police station to drop off some cars keys that I found by the house. I'm thinking they were dropped at Halloween. I feel sorry for the people that lost them. I hope they had a spare set with them. Not much else going on, so it is time for some Bible study and then off to bed so I can get up for a portion of tonight's game.
Have a "Thankful Thursday"...

I don't usually post links to YouTube on the forum, but this Thanksgiving music playlist is so nice that I want to share it with you; HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2016 . It has traditional pieces like "We Gather Together", as well as quiet music like "Pachabel's Canon", about an hour's worth of music. Enjoy!
Thanks for the link! I'll check it out! :) I added it to my "Holiday Music" channel on Youtube. I'll try to listen at lunch. Hope you're having a great day!

Good morning @snowflake22 !! So glad you checked in!! AND SO glad to see that Harlowe is doing good & enjoying the fall weather!!! :) Continued prayers for all of you! I hope work slows down (or you get more help in there) so you can visit us more often!!

Gracie is doing well. This morning she got up, ate her food, took all her meds & was running around outside barking at the birds, the neighbors cat, & the kids walking by for the bus. (they have a morning ritual with Gracie...LOL) Fingers crossed her test results from Tuesday come back good! xx Thanks so much for the prayers!

Hope you all had a good Halloween!! Have a wonderful day!!
Thanks so much, Holiday <3

So glad that Gracie is doing well. Love her morning rituals!
When do you expect the test results? Extra prayers!

Have a great day!
xx

Vet said 4-5 days to a week. I don't believe they were testing her protein this time, just checking if the antibiotics are helping the infection & making sure she's not getting over-dosed.

Hope your day is going great too!! Hope you are having some relaxing nights since work has been so busy!!
