Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning/Afternoon christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a merry Monday so far....Its been a lovely morning here and so mild too...I am watching my little girl right now as she isnt well...She woke up last night very hot and was sick..She is laying on the sofa with her blankie...Can't believe the season has started and it was magigal counting down with you guys..Thank You!!!..Enjoy the rest of your day ahead christmas friends:)

A very pleasant Saturday morning to one and all. First of all, how was the concert? I have no idea. When I woke up around 4PM, Connie let me know that our daughter had really wanted to go and did not say anything due to the ticket cost. What could I say except have a fun Mother/Daughter evening. So I stayed home and cleaned up the abode. They were out until after midnight and it turned out they paid an extra $100 and got to go backstage to chat with the performers and get some pictures with them. At first she felt bad, but I told her that these one time chances were worth the money in exchange for the priceless memories.
On an unhappy note, I young lady that works with me at Wal-Mart (and at on time for me), passed away yesterday from a heart attack. She had been having some heart troubles for a few years, but that does not make it any easier to hear. Her mother, had just lost her own mother just over a week ago and now her daughter. I find myself at a loss for words to comfort her, except that if she needs anything I will be there for her. I do not go onto facebook, but Connie does and read where Mona (her mom) posted "I want my baby back." I can't even imagine what she must be going through, adding to that the time of year it is happening (not that any point in time makes it easier).
It does remind me that life is precious and without a defined time frame. No one is guaranteed a tomorrow. I pray I can be of some help to the family when needed.
Don't mean to end this morning's post on a sad occasion. I hope you all have a beautiful Saturday and weekend.

My husband and I stopped at Michael's today to look at the Christmas trees. We ended up getting a new one and put it up when we got home. I'm going to hold off on the other trees until after Thanksgiving. The new one will be for my Hallmark ornaments, I'm going to decorate it tomorrow. Can't wait!

Hate dreaming about work more than I hate dreaming about a snow blizzard. I'll do some online Christmas shopping today. Got to get some things done, time is going by so fast! Wow! That tree looks like it was made for that spot. Love turning on the tree at night and having just those lights illuminate the living room. Are your kitties always by the trees (or IN the trees)? Have fun finishing decorating that tree today.

The cats LOVE to sleep under the trees. Thankfully they haven't been climbing them :)

Beautiful! What a perfect place for the tree and for Bella ;). Are you going for the same theme this year? I've loved blue and silver trees that I've seen this year, but I think we'll stick with red and gold. We only have space for one tree anyway.
 
Merry Monday and another official Christmas season has begun! My daughter and I watched Elf last night, I just love that movie. Typical day for me of work and I need to get to the grocery store later. Looks like it is going to be a nice day with lots of sun. Thanksgiving will be here before you know it!

I just want to look around, get ideas for Christmas gifts and sorta take in the "calm before the storm" that will be starting up in about 10 days. Then all heck is going to break loose until January. No wonder we love this time of year more than any other.

Our city put up new Christmas decorations this year they are so much nicer than the dull blue coloured wreaths they had before....

Elf has become my absolute favourite Christmas movie, I can't wait to watch it each year (but I wait until December to watch anything Christmas). Enjoy the sun and have a great day!
 
Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 55 degrees. Clouds will be moving in this evening, we're expecting showers tomorrow. I straightened up the house, started laundry and walked Maggie so far. My daughter has a dentist appointment this afternoon, back home afterward to make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. That's about it for me. I'll be decorating the tree in between. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Thanks again! I always decorate the tree that's in front of the staircase the same. I love the red bows! Then I have my Hallmark ornament tree. I have another tree for vintage ornaments. And a couple of white trees for my Shiny Brite ornaments. I would love to see a picture of your tree when it goes up, I also love red and gold <3
