Happy Thursday everyone ~
Just a quick hello, I have to head out to run a couple of errands. I had Maggie at the groomer this morning, I almost canceled because she's still having trouble with her tummy. Not sure what's bothering her. May be the antibiotics she's on. Cant wait until she finishes this round, there's just a couple of days left. She made it through the appointment just fine but I'm glad it's over with. No way I could have rescheduled, the groomer is completely booked up until the New Year. I made her holiday appointments back in September. Anyway, I'm going to run my errands quick so I could get back home to her. I'll just be working on some chores around the house this afternoon. Dinner is already cooking in the crock pot, we're having pulled pork tonight. I'm going to pick up fresh rolls while I'm out and make coleslaw to go with it. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Hi everyone! Well I had 1 test today and felt pretty good about it. Now back to studying for the rest of the day haha. Anyways tomorrow is my other test, but after that Im going home! Making the 4 hour drive back to home for Thanksgiving!! So excited. Im skipping my Monday and Tuesday classes (dont tell my proffesors ) But I am so excited to be home for 10 days!!
Plus the 4 hour drive back, is going to be 4 hours of Christmas music!!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It was a difficult night last night. I got a call that a great aunt of mine had fallen very ill and was taken to the hospital. She passed away a short time later. As I was talking with mom about that, I got another call that a high school classmate had died. My goodness. Bless their hearts, they were both good people. My aunt was the sweetest lady in the world.

Tonight, we're supposed to take Elizabeth out for her birthday. We told here we could go anywhere she wanted to go. She chose to go to a restaurant near the University so Jacob could join us, since he has to stay late for a performance. She's such a good girl!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Thats tough. Will be praying for your great aunt.

Beautiful tree. We have an old silver one with the rotating color wheel from the 1960s. We used it when I was a kid.

Oh well, family night is cancelled. My father is not feeling up to it and my brother wants to finish some important work before starting a one-week vacation tomorrow. My father, who is 75, mentionned how tired he was feeling lately. I'm concerned, I made him promise to make an appointment with his doctor and to talk to his pharmacist about vitamins that he started taking, just to make sure they're not doing more harm than good. His blood sugar levels and blood pressure are under control, so he doesn't know why he's feeling this way. I'll keep a close eye on the situation.

So David and I will get some take-out and catch up on the dvr tonight. He has to be at work very early tomorrow, so it won't be a late night for us. Hope everyone enjoys their evening.

I think Lulu has an appointment early next week. I hope Maggie doesn't hate it as much as Lulu does!

Good morning HMG! I'm happy Maggie made it through her appointment ok. Of course we would love to see a picture! Gracie got the prettiest bow from the groomer yesterday. She's saving it for Thanksgiving Day! I hope Maggie starts feeling better. Makes ya wonder if it's the medications. Your dinner sounds delicious! Have a great day!

Hopefully Maggie's stomach settles down soon. Have the antibiotics helped though? Thank goodness she didn't get sick at the groomer's, though I'm sure they've seen it happen. Hope the rest of your day goes well HMG.

Brad, I hope Lulus appointment goes well next week. Maggie's grooming appointments go by quickly. It's one on one service, she's finished in an hour. I would hate to leave her longer than that.

I was talking to a friend at work about the vintage aluminum trees today, she is trying to talk her boyfriend into buying a true vintage aluminum tree from an antique store. The store doesn't have the light wheel, but I told her Vermont Country Store sells them. I have wanted one of those trees for awhile now, I will be a little jealous if she does get it, but very happy for her.

This is our vintage tree, I have collected mid century modern ornaments for the past year from estate sales, antique stores, etc. Family & friends have been a big help in spotting them, too. It's been a labor of love. I wanted to have a tree that reminded me of my childhood.
I also picked out some fabric from the 50's and found a lady who was happy to repurpose it and make me a tree skirt.
The atomic tree topper is from Poland.

Sorry xmas, but I bet they had fun!!!

I am sure they did, LC was too young to remember what our kittens did a number of years ago to the tree, and it is bothering him. A lot!
He surprised me when I got home today he fixed it all up and even refluffed the branches. He is such a chip off the old block.
