Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!!
TWO days until Thanksgiving! So hard to believe! Probably about tomorrow I will go into panic mode - "How am I going to get this all done?" LOL! We have 32 coming for the meal, 45 total stopping through the day/evening. We also have lunch at my in-laws, so Thursday will be rush, rush, rush! We need to get to Moms to pick up her tables & chairs & then figure where we are going to seat everybody! It will all work out! Thankfully everyone brings food so I only have a few things to make. Although I'd much rather do the cooking than the cleaning!

Winter Update!! We ended up this morning with 34" of snow!! I opened the front door and we had a 5 foot wall of snow blocking it..lol. It just started snowing again now

Good morning, everyone!

What a fun weekend, I had! I know, it's Tuesday, but yesterday was actually a snow day for my school board, so I was able to relax... although I rather would have been making money.

My weekend in Toronto was very fun. I stayed at my friend's house on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday, we saw a great concert near his place. On Saturday afternoon, the weather wasn't very nice (wind and rain, for the most part). We trekked through it, however, and spent an hour or so in the Christmas District. It was very pretty. I took some photos. Of course, I will share them in a bit! I think I have others from about a week ago to share, too.

Saturday evening, I met an old friend for dinner. I hadn't seen her since 2006, when we graduated from our Journalism program in college. Anyway, she has not changed a bit. We had a nice time chatting and catching up. She was also my next door neighbour in first year, so we hung out a lot throughout years.

Mike (my old roommate), his friend, and I had a great time at the wrestling show at the Air Canada Centre. It was super entertaining. We were on the edge of our seats for much of it. Those guys are great athletes and entertainers. It seemed that the entire arena of about 20,000 people had just as good of a time as us!

Sunday, we drove home through the first snow storm of the year. In the end, we had about 20cm of snow by yesterday morning. Kim did a great job on Sunday getting the house ready for my dad's visit. He arrived yesterday around 3pm and will be staying until Friday afternoon. Usually, he comes down in October, but the Bruins are playing against the Senators on Thursday, so he was happy to be able to change around his usual visiting time to watch his Bruins play live.

I hope everyone had a great first full weekend of the Christmas Season! The Christmas Season is nearly everywhere now, and with the snow, it's really beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Ottawa. Have a great Tuesday, everyone! I'm excited for a wonderful Thanksgiving themed Pines Day tomorrow!

Good Morning/Afternoon christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a merry day so far...its been a much milder day here today...I have managed to get everything out of the loft now so going to start decorating tomorrow and then have the tree up on Friday when my oldest comes home for a long weekend....Bet you guys are starting to get excited about Thanksgiving just a few days away...Need any help in the kitchen give me a buzzz....Talk about the kitchen i am having Homemade lasagna and garlic bread tonite maybe even a small glass of wine lol...Enjoy the rest of your day christmas friends
