Christmas Countdown - 2016

Forgot to mention ... our local Dairy Queen is doubling as a Christmas tree lot this year! They're selling wreaths and other Christmas greenery, too. We stopped there for a sundae, and the trees smelled wonderful!

How fun! What a great idea for them!! This probably isn't their busiest ice cream season, so might as well sell trees & wreaths! Love the smell of real tree's!

I just got done painting the frames Carolina is giving as gifts this year. Once they are dry she will put foam Christmas stickers on them. I also bought some things from a cyber Monday sale for KEEP COLLECTIVE.

Good evening everyone ~
Sorry I haven't been posting too much the past few days. My husband had a four day weekend so I've been spending lots of time with him, and the girls as well. It's been nice but we'll get back to our regular routine tomorrow. I have been chipping away at the decorating but I'm still not done. I hope to finish up over the couple of days. I managed to finish tree number two today, my living room is just about done. I hope to decorate my Shiny Brite trees tomorrow. I found finial tree toppers in HomeGoods today that will look great, can't wait to see them on the trees. I'll have to share a picture when I finish. Anyway, I hope everyone is well. Thoughts and prayers for all.

I have some exciting news to share and then I best "hit the gym" before my workday begins.

My oldest grandson proposed to his long time girlfriend in front of Santa who was riding on a firetruck during the parade in our Nation's Capitol while wearing his firefighter uniform (he graduated from the Police Academy and Firefighter College so he can do either job when the opportunity calls for it - his brother is a firefighter and taking the paramedic course for a similar reason).

Santa announced to the crowd that she said, "YES!" I'm delighted that he chose such a special and merry event to "pop the question"; looks like I helped raise a Christmas Lover!!!

Congrats to your grandson!!!

Its a pretty great company. My friend started selling it last summer as a way to help earn money to stay home a few extra weeks of maternity leave. She is doing such a great job with it. I am going to host an online social on facebook after the holidays for her. The commission she is earning now is to put toward getting things for her daughters first birthday and Christmas since they are like 2 weeks apart. When I get my new jewels I'll post a picture

Good evening,

Day off went well, I got almost the whole inside decorated. Just have to put the rest of my Santa's out, and the outside decor to do. The tree in the window is up, the large tree is decorated in the other room. I did take advantage of some cyber Monday sales.
Dreaded inventory tomorrow, I go in at 1 so a late night for me.

Thanks Holiday! I'm just about finished with the trees in my dining room. I was having a hard time with the new tree toppers, my husband is going to put them on for me before he goes to sleep tonight. I'll post a picture tomorrow.
