Good Morning, Folks.

Moving in rapidly toward the end of November and the beginning of Christmas Month!

The numbers:
Days to Christmas Day: 26 (Moving in on 3 1/2 weeks, now!)
That elusive Day is rapidly getting closer!


Still rather coolish here yesterday but today and tomorrow should see our highs in the low to mid 70's. The only possible spoiler is rain, with possible thunder, both days.
Currently, we are at a surprisingly warm 64 degrees, we have already had some stiff wind, and I don't particularly like the look of that sky outside!


But regardless of your weather, you have a Terrific Tuesday today, OK?

Good evening everyone ~
Sorry I haven't been posting too much the past few days. My husband had a four day weekend so I've been spending lots of time with him, and the girls as well. It's been nice but we'll get back to our regular routine tomorrow. I have been chipping away at the decorating but I'm still not done. I hope to finish up over the couple of days. I managed to finish tree number two today, my living room is just about done. I hope to decorate my Shiny Brite trees tomorrow. I found finial tree toppers in HomeGoods today that will look great, can't wait to see them on the trees. I'll have to share a picture when I finish. Anyway, I hope everyone is well. Thoughts and prayers for all.

Good Monday (late) morning everyone! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift, so I've been doing a few things around the apartment this morning. I finally had time to open my gift from the gift exchange last night at our work Christmas party. The employee who picked me was soooo generous and he really nailed what I like (Lindt chocolates in all forms, maple syrup and an iTunes gift card). He even explained that he had tried finding an album for me, from just a remark that I had made one time at the store, but it was discontinued. That is incredibly sweet of him. I'm just going to take it easy for the rest of the time I have before going to work. Have a great day everyone!

How are you guys? How was Thanksgiving? I hope you all had a special day.

Things have been so hectic of late as I am sure it has been for you all too. Thankfully I have made some progress with Christmas shopping as well as Mr Festive's birthday next week.

We put our tree up on Friday!!!!!! I decorated the house but still have a few things to put up. It is so exciting!

Merry Tuesday...sorry I have been MIA for a couple of days. I was off yesterday and caught up on stuff around the house. Back to work today and 2 days of rain for us but oh well. We did get our tree up and decorated the living room. Leo already stole an ornament. If I am not paying attention to him or throwing his ball fast enough he grabs an ornament and runs!! LOL.. Good morning MMC!! Merry WARM Tuesday!! After a really yucky, rainy, windy day yesterday today we have a high of 57, and so far, sunshine!

I got my tree up & lights on last night! I still have a ways to go, but I'm a step closer!!

So, Friday night I mentioned that mom had a cough - yesterday morning we ended up in the emergency room and she got to stay! Yep, Pneumonia! Ugh!

Hello everyone! Well, I have a dilemma. The Christmas tree sellers that I've been buying my trees from for close to 20 years have lost the use of the place they normally set up, and now I have no idea where to get a tree! And they were such nice people, too. I've been looking around the neighborhood hoping that they found some other place to set up, but no such luck. Hopefully I find a tree lot before December 24th! I do have an artificial one in storage, but besides being darn hard to set up, I like the smell of a real tree. So everyone please cross your fingers and toes for me!

Work Christmas party done. We had a record turn out (88 employees out of the 90 who had signed up) and it was a lot of fun and a real success. I'm just happy it's over though, it's so much preparations each year. I'm monitoring my cold, I get bad coughing fits after the smallest exertion. May be bronchitis, I don't know. I'm giving myself until Wednesday and if there's no improvement, I'll go to the clinic. Now some much needed rest. I work at 1pm tomorrow, hopefully I can relax. Good night everyone!

I have some exciting news to share and then I best "hit the gym" before my workday begins.

My oldest grandson proposed to his long time girlfriend in front of Santa who was riding on a firetruck during the parade in our Nation's Capitol while wearing his firefighter uniform (he graduated from the Police Academy and Firefighter College so he can do either job when the opportunity calls for it - his brother is a firefighter and taking the paramedic course for a similar reason).

Santa announced to the crowd that she said, "YES!" I'm delighted that he chose such a special and merry event to "pop the question"; looks like I helped raise a Christmas Lover!!!

Congratulations to your grandson & his fiancée, AMD! What a neat and merry proposal!

Good morning MMC! "Merry" Monday! Though it's the 1st Monday that the rest of the world recognizes that it IS the Christmas season...I'm not feeling too merry! It's dark & rainy outside. FOUR days off went way too fast!!! I'm tired & sinus headachy this morning. But HEY! Just coming here has made me feel more merry already!! LOL! I'll stop complaining!!

Mom is having a swallow test done sometime today, per my sisters request. She's over the top! Anyway...I hope that goes well for her. My sister is worried she has aspiration pneumonia. I just want her to get better! xx

I am so bummed & stressed that my tree isn't up. It has definitely been put on the back burner. I guess I shouldn't say I'm "stressed" about it, but yet I want to be able to ENJOY it!! I wish it were done! For now, I'll enjoy this much of it...

Day off went well, I got almost the whole inside decorated. Just have to put the rest of my Santa's out, and the outside decor to do. The tree in the window is up, the large tree is decorated in the other room. I did take advantage of some cyber Monday sales.
Dreaded inventory tomorrow, I go in at 1 so a late night for me.
