....even though, the truth is, I'm still kind of missing it. I'll put on Buddy's Theme from Elf, a very good short little melody, that takes me right back to specific moments from the season.

I don't know, I guess I'm missing having so recently been missing it. You know what I mean? It's a process, where you miss it at first, then you start to miss being in that period of missing it. So you try to put yourself back to it all, if only for a few fleeting moments during the day.

And then beyond that, at some point, you then begin missing, or maybe wishing you could still miss, having recently missed that you were once really truly missing it.

I'm not drunk, I swear. About to go to work actually. But I threw on that tune I mentioned and it just brought a tad bit of sadness once more that the season is gone.

I saw a snowman still on somebody's front steps yesterday! And a business with those flag banners hanging from the roof that still had two Christmas ones up, a Santa one and another one with a Christmas village setting. And on my day off on Wednesday I went to the mall and saw that they made like a little collage type thing of Christmas gift cards that were sold recently (but I guess went unsold) and placed it on top of the gift card kiosk (you know the type of kiosk where you can buy a gift card for a bunch of different places). So there's still signs if you keep looking!

Oh, and on the freeway there's still a Happy Honda Days billboard up with a gingerbread man sticking out of a cup of hot cocoa!
I wonder how many gallons of cocoa that cup holds? Who's got the marshmallows?!? It does give one pause....

Good morning Martine. Happy Friday - nice to have a 3 day weekend! Hope you enjoy to the fullest! :)
What part of Hawaii are your in-laws in.
Prayers for your employee & her family. I can't imagine moving like that either. Wow! Hope it all turns out well.
Wonderful news about David!! I'm sure he is one happy camper!
Enjoy your Friday!!!
My in-laws are on Oahu right now.

Happy Friday all- We went to the service for our friend's Dad. It was really nice and our friend gave a great eulogy.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!! I am going to start taking down my mantle tonight. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Happy Friday Merry!! I hope the rest of your work day goes quick for you & you find some time for relaxing this weekend!! Have a great weekend!
Thank you!
I got out at 5 p.m., but it was a killer day, for both me and Mr. I'm trying to get up the energy to fix something to eat. I had a "one-handed" lunch while I worked; couldn't even stop to eat! Gosh, it's good to be home.

I just wanted to say a special thank you to everyone who posted words of comfort and support and for coming to my side when I needed it most. We are doing our best at the moment to cope with our loss. Working through our grief and just trying very hard to accept. It's our second time losing a baby so lots of emotions resurfacing along with new.

I feel bad for putting this here on the countdown. I know it's the last thing people want to read but just wanted to say thank you for the posts and prayers. They mean a lot to me.

Praying all is well with you all.
Festive keeping you in my prayers. I am so sorry for what you are going through. Sending you lots of hugs

Lol!!

I think I've narrowed it down to a Chevy cruze or a Ford focus. I want something small but not to tiny and that gets good gas mileage.
I have a 2013 ford focus and love it. I got it last year and it was about 12,000 with 29,700 miles on it. My first car was a 2000 ford focus so I just upgraded a few years when I got the new car. It's got heated seats and mirrors now

I do know what you mean. That is why there are things up all year round in my home. They may change from year to year, but Christmas never really goes away.
Enjoy.

Thank you!

Good evening Merry. I hope you find some time to relax this weekend. I have been on far too many where you have so many commitments that it's time to go back to work before you even know it.

Good evening all. Well I managed to get in a few hours of shut-eye and it is time to do the old Wally World thing once again. I hope everyone had a great Friday and that the weekend will bring a lot of joy, rest and happy moments for all my MMC friends.
