Well, many of you are buried under snow & we had a record high of 74 degrees yesterday! We do not need any snow days here. Schools was closed for a week because of flu & other sickness. We have only two days left to burn before having to make up days. I hope they don't take away spring break because we just made reservations in Alexandria, Virginia so we can visit Washington, D.C. for the first time. DH & DD decided to do this instead of going to Florida for a week in June. I was overruled, but Washington is interesting. We've never ridden on the Metro, so that worries me, but I'm sure we can figure it out!

Yesterday I just got around to listening to the MMC podcasts from November & December. I loved hearing the voices of MMC friends on the Christmas podcast. I didn't call in in 2016, but I hope to do so again in 2017.

I have DD's Valentine gift & plan to get something for DH on my lunch hour today. We have started staying in & cooking at home on Valentine's Day to avoid the crowds, but we haven't even discussed it this year. Whatever it is, I'll be with my little family & that's all that matters to me. It's a "forced day of love" anyway. We should show our love and appreciation for each other everyday!

GM MMC....happy Monday!! Our snow ended early this morning and hopefully this will be the end of the storms. Originally I heard we may get one mid-week but I guess that one is out to sea.
Just work for me today and my daughter has a dentist appt at 2. Hoping I can squeeze in a workout in too!
Hope you all have a great day!! So hard to believe we are in mid- Feb already!

Howdy All!
Man, yesterday capped off over 2 feet of snow in like 4 days. Thankfully a few years back, Santa brought us a snowblower... what a life saver! So naturally I did our driveway, the neighbor's and just about the whole block's sidewalk and walkways ... took me a while, but i figured why not ... it's probably what Santa would have wanted me to do with it, right? Hope all of you are well!

My last fan was the same way. I knew when it fought me coming out of the box it was going to be a rough one.
We got a recliner sofa last year and of course I didnt have it delivered. That thing has the weight of a VW Beetle and it wouldnt fit through the door. We had to remove the framework underneath, take the screen door off and it barely went through. All that to save on the 35.00 delivery charge..never again..lol

Lol!! This is a power reclining sofa. So add the weight of the motors on to yours.

The lady at the store said she thinks the backs will come off the recliners and the couch though, which will make it much easier. That should let them come in the 32 inch back door and that's a straight shot. If they have to come in the 36 inch front door, they run right into a closet. So it has to get stood straight up, scooted over, and then laid back down. Its a pain with a regular couch let alone one that weighs that much.

I used to have to go to D.C. once a month for 3 days duty. It is the absolute worst place for traffic. People commute at 5:00 a.m. and dont have to be to work until 9:00 am due to traffic. Then vice versa in the evening. Metro is the way to go if you are a tourist.

Hey MMCers! Hope you had a great day! Happy Valentine's Day Eve! Love holidays-they remind me just a little bit of my favorite one, and also remind me with their passing that we're one day closer to it! But, I'm never one to wish away days. Enjoying the wonderfulness of this evening and hoping everyone has a fabulous day tomorrow!

Good evening,

Monday is done. I had to get up early to snow blow the driveway at 5:30 this morning, I don't think the neighbors were too happy, but I had to get to work. It wasn't a bad trip in this morning, just slower than normal.
I am heading to bed, the sleep is hitting me.

Goodnight, everyone

Happy Valentine's Day MMC! Last year Valentine's Day was the coldest day of the year for us. This year it will be about average. Looks like by the weekend a serious warmup to almost spring like temperatures. Here we are halfway through February already. I just have so much to do at work this week but I'm managing to catch up little by little. Starting to think about what new phone to get as I'm eligible to upgrade at the end of February. I hope everyone has a good V-Day!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Moving right along now through February. Incredible to think the month will already be half through after today.
And guess how it ends.
That's right.
With another ** MILESTONE DAY **!

Days to the Season: 272
Days to Christmas Day: 314

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY, on the final day of February, we will open the 300-day Christmas Day Window to reveal a landscape populated with all 200's level count numbers and will be at the first big step toward an accelerated pace to our Holiday of choice!
Doesn't that make the atmosphere fairly crackle with excitement?
No? Too early?
Well, that crackle will likely come sooner than you might think, anyway.

Chilly turn for our high yesterday. A 20 degree drop from Sunday's high.
Cold here this morning at 36 degrees and today's high is supposed to be slightly cooler than yesterday's was.
Then? Another nice warming trend is predicted.

Have a Very Vivacious Valentines Day, Folks.
And a Terrific Tuesday, as well.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's another beautiful day in Bellville! It's sunny and chilly, just the way I like it.

We took Elizabeth the dance last night, and ate at Heaven's restaurant, Panda Express! I just love that place! Elizabeth has to go back again tonight, but I'm afraid Nancy won't let me eat there two nights in a row. :p

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Tuesday morning. It will be a beautiful sunny day here followed by another snowfall tonight. I woke up at 2:30am and wasn't able to fall back asleep until 4:30am, slept about 2 more hours and now I'm feeling quite tired still. A coworker learned over the weekend that her husband may have part of one leg amputated after being infected by cellulitis. They're trying an intra-veinous treatment for 6 weeks to try and stop the infection from spreading and to see if they'll be able to save parts of his leg. So far his toes and the front of his foot will most likely have to be amputated. A reminder again on how fragile health can be.

And then I learned that my boss' ex-wife has gone missing for two days now. They are afraid for her life, she had an argument with their eldest daughter and she apparently left home without any cards and they haven't heard from her since. If you can spare some positive thoughts for her safe return and for my coworker's husband, it would be greatly appreciated.

My goodness! Prayers for both of them!
