Christmas Countdown - 2017

Happy March MMC! Many years ago I nicknamed March 1 "The Day of Hope." I always felt like today was the 1st day of the year that we can look forward to so many things. January/February are over till after another Christmas season which is great to think about. But we have spring and Easter, longer days and warmer weather to look forward to. Hope everyone has a great 1st day of March. These months go by so fast it's crazy.

...and Daylight Savings Time kicks in at 2:00 AM 3/12/17.

Good morning to all my MMC friends. Yesterday was a busy one, but I did get quite a bit accomplished before hitting the sack and the first day back at work for this week was around normal. The only "special" things was the snow storm that began shortly after midnight and lasted until around 6AM. Not a lot of worries though, it was large flakes, but very light and the combination of both sunshine and temps getting to around 40 should get most of it out of the way today.
Of course it does tend to follow the old March adage...

"In like a lion and out like a lamb"

Good evening,

First day back was as usual, a letdown. It was an absolute disaster that I walked into, but inventory is done, and I have tomorrow off. Just easing back in after a vacation. I have to get my oil changed, and I think I will make a stop at the indoor flea market to see if there are any Christmas treasures to be had.
I also rented "Bad Santa 2" out of sheer curiousity, so I will watch that in the morning before my errands.

A new month.
A new set of numbers.
(And BOTH of them start with a "2"!)

Days to the Season: 257
Days to Christmas Day: 299

Yes, Folks. Yesterday we stepped through those Fench Wndows and found ourselves on a beautifully manicured lawn, blooming with numbers that all start with a "2"!
We shall cultivate our garden well, for it must last us almost two months, until the first "100" number comes up.


Only one word can describe our weather. Outstanding!
(I hate to even discuss it out of fear of releasing a jinx.)
Suffice it to say, today may be even better if predictions hold (and we don't get too hot!)
Right now, we are at 67 degrees here in the capital city of NC and it's a bit cloudy.


Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a great visit to the Shispering Pines this evening, where the entertainment is top-notch (courtesy of Activities Director Carl) the fired twinkies are culinary delights, and the tea --- well --- sweetened to perfection.

The movie really wasn't too bad if you don't mind extreme vulgarity. I can't consider it a Christmas movie, since it doesn't have that warm and fuzzy feeling that Christmas movies usually have.

They issued a high wind warning here, the news gave it a trash can warning of 4. Which means your trash cans will probably be in your neighbors yard down the street. 5 meant they would be lost.
