Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Saturday morning! It's snowing. Melting snow but still annoying at this time of year. We're out shoe shopping this morning. I've been having major issues with my left Achille's tendon all week, I think my old shoes are the culprit. Other than that, David is going to a sugar shack with his colleagues tonight and I have a dinner with my colleagues tomorrow night. This is what we call a busy social weekend lol Have a great one everyone!

Messy, cold, and wet here on the first day of April. Snow and slushy. Really?? Red Sox opening day is Monday!! Mother Nature must have her April Fools Day prank. (Better than some years ago, though, when we got 26 inches of snow after a nearly snowless winter.)

Our great leader Crown is away for the weekend and so I will attempt to fill in for the next 2 days till he returns.
Let's take a look at today's count as we enter into the 4th month of the year already!

Days to the Season: 226
Days to Christmas Day: 268

3 weeks from Wednesday we reach our next milestone (the 1/3 point of the way to Christmas Day) followed by the 200-day season window which is one of my personal favorite milestones of the year (it just feels so amazing to see the season count enter the "1s").

Well guys here we are now into April yet in my area we are seeing a cold rain with temps in the 30s this morning (and even the chance of some wet snow showers mixed in). But no matter what your weather conditions are today smile at the fact that we have turned the calendar for yet another month this year and as the next several months progress we will be getting closer and closer to our favorite time of the year. Have a great Saturday!

Great job filling in today! I am also looking forward to getting into the "1s" The countdown sounds so manageable once we dip under the "2s". Just 6 months left till October now also. That has a pretty nice ring to it!

Good Morning one and all residents of MMC! Hope you didn't get fooled yesterday on April Fool's Day. But as we look at the count today you may think this is a late April Fool's joke because it is moving along so quickly and lower than it feels it should be this time of year. Let's take a look.

Days to the Season: 225
Days to Christmas Day: 267

In 3 weeks and 3 days we will see the 1/3 marker to Christmas Day! Think about that a THIRD of the day back to December 25. And in 1 extra day after, as I stated yesterday, one of the biggest milestones of the year the 200 day marker to the Christmas season (to be followed by a "1"s count which is when things start to seem to get closer and closer quickly).

No need to rush time though as we all see how it's already April and spring has sprung here (at least for today) with a high temperature expected in the upper 50s with sunshine (I almost forgot what the sun looks like). But one thing we never forget is how bright those Christmas lights will look during the Christmas season. That will make any MMC member smile more brightly than the bright sun that is outside today. Please enjoy your Sunday and the rest of your weekend. Good news: CROWN will return on Monday to take the count forward. That should make our Monday more exciting!

Happy Sunday! My youngest daughter woke up with a fever this morning and not feeling too great so it is going to be a low key day which is fine with me. I need to catch up on laundry and run to the grocery store later.

April really is the first month that feels like spring to me. Trees are starting to sprout leaves now around here, and I'm fully in spring fever mode! Loving the chance to porch sit and enjoy some warmer weather. It also means CIJ will be here before we know it!
