Christmas Countdown - 2017

Excited for the Sox season beginning, so much sports to follow right now. I remember my senior year in high school (1993) waiting outside on the Friday before spring vacation and it was snowing. People were so upset that it was snowing in mid-April.

Howdy Xmas. I am more of a fall and winter sports fan for following that is. Hope your Sox do well this year. 1993 you say? Let's see, I was in Grand Forks, ND ending my 19 year in the USAF.

Happy Monday MMC! Happy to me because my supervisor is back today which I'm glad about. Also, it's April now and well it just feels good saying that knowing we're really into spring. Looks like this week we will have a couple of more rain storms. At least we won't have a drought this summer most likely. Just a Monday at work and should be busy this week as I always am the 1st week of the month. Have a great day!

Merry Monday!
It's going to be a pretty nice day, partly cloudy with a high of 57 degrees. I was going to put my food shopping off until tomorrow but we have some rain moving in so I think I'll get it over with today. I'm also going to take a ride to Hallmark for Easter cards. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be shredded chicken tacos. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well. Wishing all of you a wonderful day and a great week ahead!

Good morning HMG. Sounds like a fairly busy morning, I always like to get any of my errands out of the way somewhere between morning work traffic and lunchtime. Dinner also sounds great. I have not decided yet, but I'm thinking BBQ.

It always seems to go that way. Its crazy because its not so hot..but the sudden change is unbearable. I always laugh because when we hit 50° I saw people in shorts already. As soon as fall hits and it drops to 50° they are all bundled up like a blizzard is coming.

Greetings Gunny. That does not make me laugh as much as when the weather cools and the coats come on along with shorts and sandals. For me... it is T-Shirt weather from 40 degrees and up both in Spring and late Fall. In fact my wife was mentioning how I have some of the newest 30 year old coats she has ever seen...

And that is indeed incredible, isn't it? APRIL already!
I step away for a couple of days, come back, and it's another month entirely. Where is the year going, for heaven's sake?
(Hey, we know, don't we. It's slowly dwindling down to Chrsitmas, that's where!)


First up this morning: The count did not lag. It stayed intact while I was gone.
Not surprising, really. After all, we have the Edge here, don't we? And not just the Edge, the one and ONLY Edge.

Days to the Season: 224
Days to Christmas Day: 266

The 1/3 point to Christmas Day 2017 -- only 23 days ahead!
The 200-day Season Window -- just one day after that!

(We are so moving, Folks. It's scary!)


Real nice weather for our trip to the coast. The winter was kind to the cottage and there was not too much remedial work to be done. Just a bit of brush cutting and minor repairs. Had a nice dinner out Saturday evening at one of the fish restaurants.
The weather forecast for here shows good days ahead. Not too hot. Not too cold.
(Now if only it was not so polleny!)
We are at 52 degrees here right now.

Welcome back Crown and I'm sure we are all happy that you found the place in great condition. Nice to get away every now and then, even if only for a weekend. And the fish dinner sounds like a nice way to top it all off. Probably beats eating at the "King" huh?

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

We had another whirlwind weekend filled with dance and music. Jacob was feeling better Saturday, so while we took Elizabeth to dance, he went to work. Later that night, his band played nearby, so Nancy and I went to see the show. Awesome, as usual! Yesterday evening, Elizabeth and her cousin sang at church (while I accompanied on guitar), and they sang beautifully! And Elizabeth has prom this weekend. And that boy came to hear her sing last night. Grrr.

I've been nervous all weekend, though. Lulu is having surgery again tomorrow for bladder stones. Bless her heart, she can barely go, so I know it has to be done. I hate leaving her there alone, though. She always cries, almost like a child. It might be different if they would start the procedure as soon as she gets there, but they always want her to be there 2 or 3 hours before the actual start time, so she has to be scared all that time. She has to be there at 8am tomorrow, and they'll keep her overnight. I'd appreciate a quick prayer for Lulu in the morning.

Greeting DoYouHear. After church for me was catching up on sleep, since I worked the night before. But I did have a nice relaxing Sunday evening with my better half (Connie) and we caught up on some DVR recordings and dines on her new favorite pizza place... Domino's. A beautiful misty morning here with temps already in the mid 40's.

Merry Monday! My daughter is feeling better, no fever this morning and I think she just has a cold. Just a regular work day for me and I am going to make a roast for dinner. Looks like tomorrow will be a wash out with all the rain we are going to get but oh well! Hope you all have a great day!

Greetings Brad. My prayers are on their way for her. To both keep her calm as not only is she under the care of knowledgeable doctors, but under the care and gaze of the "Master Physician" and also for a quick healing so she can get back to a normal day-to-day life.
The rest of your weekend was really jam packed. I almost hate to admit it, but I look forward to my day's off as having little or nothing to do (which does not happen all that often). But I am glad you enjoyed it.
