Good morning MMC ~
Merry Pines Day!
It's going to be cloudy with highs near 65 today. I'm just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes before everyone else wakes up. I'm going to take a ride with my daughter later this morning to have her car inspected. I have a doctor appointment this afternoon. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I guess that's about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day. We have more rain here again this morning. Seems like 5 out of 7 days a week it's been raining since spring started. Saturday looks to be the nicest day from now till Memorial Day. Every other day has some kind of showers or rain forecast at some point. It's been a wet spring. Just another work day today and trying to be in good position by Friday because the next 2 weeks at work will be busy after Memorial Day. See you at the Pines!

Good Morning MMC!

home form work with a cold today. Mom has cataract surgery tomorrow so I want to try to knock this out by then so they will let me in the hospital with her.

Hope you are all well and have a great day. Party at the pines tonight, wonder what Carl has planned this week ?

Good Morning, Friends.

Almost down to the two week mark!
(Details just ahead.)

Today's data:
Days to the Season: 173
Days to Christmas Day: 215

And tomorrow, we will indeed be down to the two week mark.
(The two week mark to the 200-day Christmas Day Window, that is.)
Drawing ever nearer, we are, to SINGLE DIGITS to that next, all-important Milestone marker!

Well, wet conditions appear to be here to stay for a while, and we had rain just about the entire day yesterday (1.7").
So far, this morning has not seen fresh precipitation, but it is a distinct possibility later today.
Our current temperature here in the capital city: 67 degrees under cloudy skies.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, 'Pines Participants!

And, of course, Carl and crew very much hope you decide to be a participant, if for no other reason than to have a group of guinea pigs available for beverage blend experiments.
So the question you have to ask yourselves is.....do I feel experimental?
Well do you, Folks?

Thanks Crown! Looking forward to the experiment!

So glad you are safe. This is the first I'd heard of it (home from work, not feeling well)... more shocking, senseless violence. It's sickening that so many children were involved, and that some children are still missing.
I know Merry. It is a dark time here.

How are you feeling today? I hope you are doing a little better. Thinking of you my friend. (((hugs)))

GM all...happy Pines! My youngest is home with a 101 fever...I hope it is not the start of strep! A few kinds in her class have had it so I know it is going around. She has her dance recital this week so she can't be sick! Just a regular day od work for me and I just wish we would see some sun for more than one day in a row! Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Pines Day!!! It's chillier today with a high of 66 predicted. No sun. It was spitting rain when I came in this morning! I need a few more nice days to get all my flowers planted & the garden in! :D
Not much going on today except work & then I'll see what the weather is like after work - hopefully more flower planting! Our vacation meeting went well last night. We're going to keep the food simple. My BIL will grill marinated pork chops & chicken breast the 1st night. 2nd night is different lasagna's w/ garlic bread, last night is burgers & dogs on the grill w/ pork 'n beans! Everybody is on their own for breakfast & lunches. We will have crock pots of soup & cold meat for sandwiches available. Should be fun!!! :):)
Everyone, have a great day! Can't believe we're down to SEVEN MONTHS until Christmas Eve!!!

Hello all!

This is the last week of school for me this year. Tomorrow starts exams. Lots of grading, sorting, throwing away, and organizing this week.

Today was also the viewing for the student we lost last week. The viewing was actually at the high school. I had the chance to talk with the parents of the young man who passed. I had not met them before, but the mother knew who I was and gave me a big hug as soon as a stepped forward. We had a nice chat and she told me that she did not know how well her son had done in Quiz Team until she was going through his stuff in his room. He did not tell her that he was the league high scorer. It was a nice moment where we talked about how he did not make a big deal out of his accomplishments. It was a nice, but of course a sad talk. Necessary in the healing process.

I am sorry for going on and on the last several days about this situation. I have lost family members and friends in the past. However, this was the first time I have lost a student. This was more than just "any" student, but a young man who I had a connection with because of his interest in history, comic books, movies, and trivia. I watched him grow and mature into the type of person I know would have been successful in life. I know that he counted me as a major influence in his life and I think that hurts every more. It also does not help that I have a son about to go into his senior year of high school.

Good morning ITP! I'm glad you were able to meet the parents of your student who passed away. Such a sad story! Prayers for all of you!
I hope you last week of school goes well! The last day here is tomorrow. The neighbor kids have a little more spunk in their step walking to the bus in the mornings this week.
:D
Have a great day!

How are things doing there? I saw a report yesterday evening that said they had reason to expect a second attack. I certainly hope that, and ANY future attacks, will be avoided.

Hoping to be in shape to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend (they're forecasting a cloudy one, though); in the meantime, just resting and recovering. Hugs back to you!
