Happy Sunday! Not too much planned for today. I was up early and had to drop my oldest off at school because she is volunteering at the Special Olympics all day. My youngest one has a bday party at 4. I need to get to the grocery store and catch up on some laundry. Hope you all have a great day! The weather is going to be hot today so happy for ac!

Good Second-Half-of-the-Weekend Morning, Friends!

Is there any good reason not to get straight to the count?
I guess not.

Therefore:
Days to the Season: 155
Days to Christmas Day: 197

Milestone number 10.
Not far up the road now.
TWO WEEKS from tomorrow, in fact!
And the marker? Why, it's the half way point to Christmas Day 2017.
Yep. That's right. HALF way!
(Be sure to tell everyone you read it here, first.)

The humidity is starting to creep back in now. Still not overly warm but a suggestion of summer conditions is starting to appear. No rain in the immediate forecast, however.
We commence the second half of the weekend here in Raleigh at 74 sunny and calm degrees.

Have a Super Sunday and a Really Rousing Remainder of your Weekend, Folks!

1/2 way to Christmas Day in two weeks?

I can hardly wait! I really am so excited about that and Christmas in July this year. As I was sitting around last night thinking about what to do today, I thought I would just look at Christmas stuff online all day today. This morning I feel different, so I might go ahead and start working on some of my Christmas pallet projects....then again, I might just cook for the week....who knows?

Y'all have a great Sunday!

Have a great Sunday everyone!!! We are really moving now!! CIJ is coming fast, and so are some other big Milestones!! Woohoo!! What a great thing to think about this afternoon!!

You're welcome, Holiday! Matt Wertz's album "Winter Wonderland" is actually my favourite Christmas album too. Excited for you to listen to all the songs, too!

It should be just great. :) We're about 3 1/2 months away now. Crazy.

Well, I thought I was back and then the students just keep pulling me in... What a busy week!

There are now just under two weeks of classes remaining of the school year. Exams on the 22nd, I believe. There are more than a few students that are off-pace and very much in danger of missing their credits. My job for this past week was to sit down with some and do my best to pry the work out of them. After three straight school days of no breaks (my choice), I think the last one will be "caught up" by the end of Monday morning.

To say that it was an exhausting Wednesday though Friday would be an absolute understatement. I actually really enjoy the student I have been working with, it's just mentally draining to be sitting beside the same person for almost seven straight hours (lunch not included). Either way, I'm super proud of their progress and looking forward to the possibility of them receiving two credits. I didn't know this, but some teachers were considering what I was doing as "the impossible" because the student was so far behind. I guess that will make Monday so much sweeter when they finish!

Not much else happened this week. Aside from teaching, I enjoyed some time in the gym, had a few runs, and played some Frisbee... Oh, I also chaperoned prom on Friday night. That was actually very fun. I'd definitely consider doing it again!

I need to do some laundry now, and perhaps a few things around the house. I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend! Milestone 10 is nearly two weeks away, and summer will officially begin shortly, too!

Hello Everyone!
It's nice to stop in and see what everyone is doing at this time of year. This past week was very busy for me. It took forever, but I FINALLY got my garden planted. It feels late to be planting, but we had such a cool May I am not worried at all. It took the whole week because I had to work with/around my three year old. She's quite the helper, but sometimes not. o_O
It was a beautiful week to be outside. At times while I was working I couldn't help thinking ahead to fall. I am hoping everything grows well and I get a good yield. I was also just plain excited for the "bers" and everything the season brings. That is what pushes me forward in many situations: better things to come!
Today we started out by going to church. We came home and watered the garden. Next, it was off to the playground, lunch, and a nap for DD. We are grilling out for dinner tonight, I have steak marinating and brats thawing! To end the day, some Super Mario Bros. on the Wii and continuing my binge watching of "Bates Motel" on Netflix.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I can't wait until the half-way point!

Oh no!! Ugh that stinks you don't know yet! So what do they do now? Have a re-vote again?

Ugh...moving! It always seems like it is that way..everything is so last minute. Good Luck!

Wow...cannot believe we are at the 199 mark!! Thanks and have a great day, Gunny!

Festive I hope things get sorted out quickly for your move. I have an employee at work who is in the midst of selling and buying and she is so stressed, I see how it takes a toll on someone. Hope you can relax some and enjoy the weekend despite all of this turmoil.

About your elections, in Canada if a government doesn't have the majority, they just are a minority government and have to deal with other parties in the hopes of getting things done. What is the difference between that and a hung parliament? Always interested in how politics works in other countries.

An election may very well be possible.

A hung parliament is when the party has not obtained the minimum seats required. For now they have formed a minority government joining with another smaller and lesser known party. A lot of people are in disagreement over this.

Brexit is due to be triggered quite soon which of course complicates things.

So we shall have to wait and see what happens next! The drama!

Good Morning, My Many Merry Milestone Marker Chasers!

One thing about this chase, though. The markers always get caught.
"Good things come to those who wait". That's certainly true in our case.
It's just a matter of time.

Let's start the new week off with the latest data:
Days to the Season: 154
Days to Christmas Day: 196

And our next marker? (It's number ten on the chart, you know.)
The HALF WAY point to Christmas Day 2017. It's precisely TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!
(It is. It really is!)

Still rather warm and humid. And the heat will just continue to build. We are predicted to be in the mid 90's by the middle of this week. A nice rain would help out but none is predicted for the immediate future.
Our opening temperature this morning is 72 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
