Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's a nice morning, sunny but not too hot yet. I downloaded the latest episode of the Merry Podcast to listen to on my morning walks. I'm not much of a baseball fan, but there's an interesting story about an old baseball game and Bing Crosby. If you haven't listened yet, go download it!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Happy Tuesday HMG. Our temp did not make it past 75 and some areas of SD had lows in the upper 30's. Sure saves on my A/C and electric bill. So how much summer will she enjoy until the next round of academia begins?
Have a fun last few days, as we bid farewell to June...

Thanks CGYager ~
My daughters last class is this Thursday. The Fall semester begins the first week of September. Shes looking forward to two homework free months.
Hope you have a great day!

Three others: D.W. Griffith, Douglas Fairbanks, and Mary Pickford. They founded United Artists in 1919.
Its still crazy what they get away with Merry. Which is why the theater has to charge 14.00 for a bucket of popcorn and a soda. That video even explained how they can skew the profit a movie made to make it look like it earned more or less.

Good Morning, Guys.

Well, we are now post-Milestone, having passed the Half-Way-to-Christmas marker, yesterday.
But, wait! Whenever we are post-marker, we also become pre-marker!
(More about that, and a shocking revelation, in just a moment.)

First, the daily figures:
Days to the Season: 139
Days to Christmas Day: 181

And the next marker that we are "pre-"?
Well, hold on to your candy canes, Fellow MMC'ers, because it's a shocker!
As of July 14, just 17 days from today, we will be 2/3 of the way to Christmas Season 2017.
You read that right, Folks. TWO-THIRDS!!
Not only that (and you had better get a REAL good grip, now) but after we reach that point, we will be only 22 days away from DOUBLE DIGITS to the start of the Season.
(I don't know about you, but this is starting to become too much for me. I had better try to relax with some deep breathing exercises!)

Another nice day here yesterday. The temps and humidity levels were down, we had no rain and there was plenty of sunshine.
Today should be a carbon copy, with possibly a sprinkle or two this evening.
We are at 67 degrees here, right now.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!
Thanks Crown! These milestones start getting crazy this time of year!

Morning MMC! My brother arrives this morning from San Diego. He'll be here through the 4th and then be heading to Canada for a few days. The next week will be very hectic as he wants to go see different people (uncle etc.) and I'll try my best to at least be there for a few of those. Our BBQ has turned into a big one as more people are invited than usual. I think by the time he leaves I will be tired but the next time I see him will most likely be about a week until Christmas. Have a great day!
Have a great tine with your brother and your BBQ sounds like it will be a lot of fun!

Happy Tuesday!
Just work for me today and my daughter has an all-star softball game tonight.
If they lose tonight then they are out of the tournament. We'll see..
Hope you all have a great day!

That's why they call it "show BUSINESS."
Mr. has written some film-related books, and his research in industry-facing publications shows that the business of making movies has always had some interesting twists. For instance, in the 1920s and '30s, some major film studios owned their own movie theater chains and forced theater owners to "block-book" their films---owners had to take films they didn't want to book in order to book films they DID want to show. That was eventually broken up under an anti-trust law.

Ask me sometime about how vaudeville theater managers scammed the entertainers they booked! That's another whole subject.

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!!

This weather has been crazy. After all the rain on Friday we had perfect weather for the festival, but it was so chilly at night!! We would go back to our house & turn on the patio heater! We had 1 side of the tent down to block the wind. It felt amazing!

We had a nice surprise on Sunday. I got a random text from our friends ex-husband. He wanted to come to the festival. He is divorced from our friend, but we have all always really liked him. He showed up & we got the gang together. He ended up spending the night at our house. He got to see a lot of peeps he hasn't seen for years. It's been 5 years since he was last here. So fun!!

I was disappointed in the crafts this year. I didn't see anything Christmas!! :( BUT on Sunday in honor of 6 months to Christmas I did turn my little tree in the basement on! :)

Everyone have a great day! I'm off to try to catch up on what I missed around here!

Good Friday mid day MMC! A three-day weekend for me. I'm just relaxing today, it's a rainy, gloomy day. So the idea of taking a cruise this Summer is out. We're much too late and the prices are much too high. Back to the drawing board. Have a great day everyone!
Oh shoot! I hope you can find the perfect vacation destination! Hope you enjoyed the 3 day weekend!!

Hello and Happy Friday!

WOW... HOLY... RAIN!!! It has rained, hard, nonstop for several hours today. It is not suppose to end anytime soon either. My backyard is, well, flooded.

This weekend is the Dayton Air Show and the Thunderbirds are suppose to perform. However, this morning, one of the Thunderbirds was landing just before the rain started and as he touched down, a huge gust of wind came in and blew the plane over on its top!! Crazy weather!

In happier news, since it is so rainy outside, I have decided to have a merrier time inside and I have been listen to Christmas music! I also watched A Christmas Carol. Rainy days are not all bad.-sing-
The weather on Friday was so dreary/nasty! I saw that on the news about the Thunderbird plane. I'm glad everyone was ok! Awesome that you were able to watch some Christmas on tv & listen to some music! It was a good day for that!!
Have a great Tuesday!

The snowflakes are gorgeous! Are they hand-crocheted?
I made a few years ago, but it's hard working with crochet cotton thread as opposed to yarn. I also have several snowflakes my grandmother crocheted, along with a little angel she crocheted. Very precious to me!

I have a friend that is a projectionist at a theater. They still use the spools of film and the rods that burn. Anyways..his theater is forced to show a movie for say..3 weeks straight or they cant get it. So a 3 week run of a movie..the whole ticket sales go to the studio and they make nothing until say day 19 of a 21 day showing. Some films they make 15% of a ticket sale the whole showing. Its such a scam

The dog park was lots of fun. @Holiday we saw two Wheatens, they were so beautiful, made me think of Gracie :) There were also two lively Pugs and Loki told then what's what. I still don't know what he has against Pugs.
Awe!!! I always love to see other Wheatens! That's too "funny" that Loki doesn't like Pugs. Is he a little prejudice?! ;) Animals!

Merry Sunday MMC ~
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs near 80. We're currently at 68 degrees, I'm going to take a walk in a few minutes before it gets too warm. My husband is taking my father to a Yankees game today. My mother and I will be getting together for lunch. Not too much else planned for me.
I hope everyone is well has a nice day!
I hope you all had a fun day!

Happy Leon Day MMC! It's going to be a great day here with sunny skies and a high of 80. The humidity is gone again and won't return till at least mid-week. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Going to my Uncle's for dinner tonight. My brother comes Tuesday and then off to the races towards CIJ and 4th!
Hope you have a great time with your brother!
