Christmas Countdown - 2017

TGIF MMC! Lucky 7-7 day. This week does seem shorter thanks to the 4th. I'm finally catching up on sleep the last couple of nights. My weekend should be pretty fun and relaxing. I plan to go to see the fireworks tonight at the amusement park. Other than that a busy day at work first and some pizza for dinner. Happy Friday!

Good Friday morning! It is raining hard right now, possible thunderstorms today. I'll be at work with a long to-do list. My plan is to get through every single item on my list each day, so that by next Friday I have almost nothing left to do and won't have to stay late to tie up loose ends before my vacation. ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, we shall arrive.
Arrive at the conclusion of the second of three thirds of our trip back to the Christmas Season.
(And, of course, that would mean there is only ONE more third left to go.)
Then, after that, just look how close we are to DOUBLE DIGITS to the Season. Barely over four weeks!
(The year is truly starting to get away from us, Folks.)


Another "sauna" day here yesterday with the heat index close to 100 degrees.
(And that's just plain too humid, Guys!)
I'm hoping today will show some mercy and treat us a bit more kindly.
We have started off already warm here this morning, at 77 degrees.

Happy Friday!! Another work week on the books even though it was short one for most. It is pouring right now but I think it is supposed to clear tonight. My weekend is pretty quiet with not too many plans. My oldest daughter leaves on Sunday for 4-H camp for the week so tomorrow I have to get her some last minute stuff. Tomorrow night I think we are going to take my youngest daughter and her friend to the drive in to see Despicable Me 3. Hope you all have a great day and weekend!

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday!! 1/2 day of work for me, then I'll be off to spend the afternoon/night with mama!! I bet you can guess what will be on her tv at 7:00 tonight!! YAY! Bring on HMM Christmas!!!


This morning we have nothing but sunshine & humidity here, but we have a dense fog warning until 9am! That's crazy! Fog in July!

I stopped at Moms after work yesterday to find Emma baking Christmas in July cookies for us!! I think I'm rubbing off on her!


Convertible night was great. We went to a new (new to us) restaurant. The food was amazing!! We shared an appetizer called Pig Candy - It's smoked, candied bacon; cinnamon, sugar & spices. OMGosh! I had a Cajun chicken pasta with cream sauce! OMGosh! It was so good & so huge. Of course I got a to go container & it ended up sitting in the back seat of the convertible all night. Darnit!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a decent morning here but then storms move in this afternoon. Nothing to much going on here today. Mom's flight lands at 5:30. So I'll have to leave for the airport about 4 due to the rush hour traffic picking up downtown. It's hard to believe that 16 days have already flew by since she left. They were a productive 16 days at least. I got a lot of projects done around the apartment along with my visit to Snowflake's. Well I'm off to do something productive. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He'll return Sunday night and is leaving for San Diego on Monday. His next scheduled trip here is around December 18th. Think about how scary that is to think we'll be about a week from Christmas Day.
