Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Wow, it's been a hot week! Upper 90's everyday with crazy humidity. I'm with NcGunny; I'm ready for a blizzard!

I went to my mother's-in-law for lunch yesterday, and there was snow in the ground! They were thawing out a freezer, and were throwing out chunks of ice that had built up inside. It looked awesome on the ground in the 95°F heat. LOL

Good evening...

Today was my first official day on the new job. Felt really weird...but the school didn't blow up and we didn't get shut down....so the first day was a success!

The 4th was great! We just were really low key.....it was perfect.

Today was my first day since last Thursday and tomorrow is my last day to work this week...I could get used to this!

Happy Friday Eve! Not too much planned today besides work and I need to hit the grocery store later. I heard we may have some rain in the forecast tomorrow but the weekend looks ok.

I saw back to school things at DG yesterday. Made my belly queasy!!

We got an e-mail touting school supplies before July Fourth! Definitely made me queasy for a moment!

Well mom comes back from Seattle tomorrow. So I'm going to try and enjoy my last day of peace and quiet for who knows how long. It's raining and humid out so maybe I'll throw in a Christmas movie before heading to hobby lobby to see what they have out. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got the email about 2 weeks ago for school supplies. Its only a few weeks till they go back to school here in TN think it said the 2nd or 3rd of AUg

Well mom comes back from Seattle tomorrow. So I'm going to try and enjoy my last day of peace and quiet for who knows how long. It's raining and humid out so maybe I'll throw in a Christmas movie before heading to hobby lobby to see what they have out. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Around here the schools close around mid-June and don't open again until late August---that's why it seems awfully early to me to be touting school supplies. I feel bad for the poor schoolkids who see the ads!

Ahhhh, school clothes and supplies make me happy I dont have kids yet! Pretty hot around here lately, ready for the cooling off coming late next month. Was at Family Dollar yesterday and saw them unloading a truck full of Christmas trees. Usually places start the Christmas decorations in mid-august, with "Black Friday now" sales starting in early august. With alot of retailers shutting doors for good throughout the year and going out of business, I see alot of places throwing everything they have at this holiday season to get people out of the house and into a store.

They got out here end of May. When i was a kid in Charleston SC we got out usually June 16th and started back in September.
