It's going to be warm and muggy today with temperatures in the upper 80's. Typical day of errands and chores for me. I'll also be having lunch with my mother. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well. Wishing all of you a wonderful day!!!

Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! We are indeed in the Dog Days of Summer. Hot and humid weather the rest of this week. Well this is the time of year things slow down a little with the weather. That might be a good thing for fans of summer and those who don't want the Bers to come too fast and then leave us like a speeding bullet. Going to Applebee's tonight for dinner. Haven't been there in about 3 months. Should be good. Stay cool everyone!

Rise, shine and behold a brand new set of count numbers, not to mention a brand new update on our next Milestone marker, rapidly approaching.

First, the numbers:
Days to the Season: 117
Days to Christmas Day: 159

Next, the marker update:
Our next pending Milestone is the 100-DAY SEASON WINDOW, and it's now only 17 days ahead. That's UNDER 2 1/2 WEEKS away!
(Can you believe we are so close now to our first DOUBLE-DIGIT count figure?)


Not too bad here yesterday, weather wise. The temps and humidity were down a bit. Not exactly comfortable until evening but still better than one would normally expect for our part of the country here in July.
Right now, we are beginning this mid week day at 72 degrees and it 's supposed to be a warm one.


Well, as usual Wednesday can mean only one thing. Open house at the 'Pines!
Carl's summer theme activities are well under way and you can count on most of this evening's entertaiment being pool side.
Don't forget your first complimentary fired twinkie and tall glass of sweet southern iced tea.
Hope to see each and every one of you there this evening!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!! And it's going to be a cooker! AND our AC went out at home!

The A/C peeps are supposed to be coming today! It was helping a little with the humidity, but the air was set at 71 & it was 79 in our house last night! Poor Gracie. She went in the basement. Thankfully we have a separate AC unit in our bedroom upstairs so we could sleep comfortably!

The vet left a message on our machine last night to give her a call this morning about Gracie's results, so I'll be calling there shortly. Makes me so nervous!

Good Tuesday afternoon! A glorious and hot and humid Summer day today. We decided to head over to Ottawa for part of the day to walk by the Rideau canal. Had a picnic over there and then walked from Dow's lake and then back on the other side of the canal. For part of the walk, we could hear (but couldn't figure out where they were) a marching band practising, playing the Game of Thrones and Pirates of the Caribbean themes. Loki was a good boy, for the most part ignoring cyclists and joggers. He is pooped though, currently lying down on the couch next to me. We may head to Burlington and Lake Champlain tomorrow, we'll see. Planning on enjoying these Summer days as much as possible. Hope everyone will enjoy a great evening!

Well, I went by Hallmark when I was at Crabtree mall this afternoon and sure enough, they had a shelf of Christmas ornaments out! Needless to say, I snapped a photo for the pending Blossoms thread.
(The earliest I have ever taken a Blossoms photo!)
