Yes, I called the vet this morning. Not good news! Gracie is basically in kidney failure. There is nothing they can really recommend except keeping her on the meds she's already on. I can up her dose of fish oil - which I have already done b/c we couldn't find the low dose the last time - I need to get some Aluminum Hydroxide to mix in with her food to help keep her phosphate levels down so she stays interested in eating. She said keeping her eating good protein & to keep her from losing weight is very important. All of her numbers didn't look good. My poor girl! She was dealt a bad hand! Our vet said she is going to do more research to make sure there is not something she is missing. I'll be doing some more research myself. Darnit!!! I'm so sad!

Thank you Merry! I sure hope so too. The good thing is, she's the same ol crazy Grace! (knocking on wood!) You would never know she's not well! I just pray that continues!

The ickiest I've seen in real life so far are Pumpkin Spice Circus Peanuts (those chewy marshmallowy peanut-shaped candies). Regular Circus Peanuts are just plain icky to begin with!

Thanks a bunch guys!! I don't want to jinx her but she's doing so well, it's just hard to believe!

She has already been to a specialist. Every time we do her testing the results are sent to the specialist. She is the one who regulates her meds & tells us what steps to take next. She said there is a fine line of over-medicating & Gracie is already on a lot of meds. That is why they are not changing the meds. But the last time we did the testing they doubled her dose of 1 med & I'm really concerned she's already over-medicated!! @snowflake22 sent me some recommendations that I will share with the vet to see if it's something that will help! Looks promising!

Well, it looks like it's quitting time - oh darn! Ha ha ha!! I'm off to Moms - Emma made us a loaf of homemade bread today. YUM! The AC repair peeps never called, so we may have a hot house tonight. Thank the good Lord for the extra AC unit in our bedroom. I might have to spend a good part of the evening in the basement ...and thankfully I have Hallmark in the basement too!

Oh wait - tonight is Pines night - I'll be in the pool!!

We decorated today for Christmas-In-July. 4 Santas, 1 mini Christmas tree, a table runner, a few pillows and a teddy bear that counts down the days to Christmas and a few nick nacks. The best part was when my 17 month old daughter saw the decorations and walked me around the house by my finger, pointing at the Santas and says "Ho Ho Ho". It was awesome.

Morning MMC! The 3 H's today: Hazy, Hot and Humid. Boy is it ever. I had my a/c running most of the night which is rare. Usually I turn it off and back on if it gets hot at some point. Applebee's was good last night but they seem to have cut back on certain things. I read that some are closing so I hope this one won't cause their food is still really good. Hope you all are well on this 20th of July. I'm off Monday so pushing through the next 2 days to make it to another summer 3 day weekend. Have a great day!

Good morning ~
We're also going to have hazy, hot & humid weather here on the island. Chance of a thunderstorm as well. I'm a little bit headachey today, it may have something to do with the weather. Not too much planned. I'll just be working on some chores around the house and I want to take a ride to Trader Joe's as well. I'm going to grill teriyaki chicken for dinner. I think I'll make fried rice and roasted asparagus to go along with it. Thats about it for me.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! Our HVAC people never showed up yesterday so I'm thankful that so far it's a cloudy day! Hot & humid but at least there's no sun to beat in the windows! Hopefully they will be able to fix it today. I'm sure they are swamped this week.

Not much going on today - just work. Emma made us homemade bread yesterday so we may have BLT's for supper tonight. IF the A/C is fixed. I make bacon in the oven, & I'm not turning that on if we don't have A/C!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be another hot one here today with temps in the 90's and heat index's in the 100's. I think I'm going to melt before the cool down gets here!! LOL!!! I have to babysit again today while my sister works registration at the school. Emily has been having some real bad dizzy spells again so it should be interesting. Ella will be a handful to I'm sure.
