Christmas with the Kranks is an interesting movie. I sometimes watch it around Christmas. I so want to like it, but it just doesn't rise above the lower end of mediocre, in my opinion. The physical comedy doesn't work in a lot of places, and some of the performances (notably Jamie Lee Curtis) aren't very inspired. Tim Allen is always a delight though, and with my own children growing up and moving on to find their own lives, I can identify with some of the struggles that the Kranks have. However, I read the book absolutely every Christmas. It is wonderful and I can't recommend it enough!

Happy Friday All! Another warm day for sure. Not too many plans this weekend. My daughter has a soccer game tonight and my youngest daughter has her Lion King play tomorrow. Sunday I think it may rain so we will probably relax at home and keep it low key. Hope you all have a great day!

Actually not bad here at all this morning temperature wise I've got the doors and windows open. Going to get hot again later to day.
Another boring day of sitting around doing my exercises and trying to get my arm to heal.
We have to trim Penny's nails today, something she is not fond of having to get done. She has a couple of claws that get so long they get caught on the carpet when she walks around.

Another hot and humid day, highs near 93 degrees. I have a doctor appointment today to review my lab results. I need to run to Target at some point. The butcher as well. We have to trim Penny's nails today, something she is not fond of having to get done. She has a couple of claws that get so long they get caught on the carpet when she walks around.

Jason Galaxy, the cat expert on "My Cat from Hell," recommended on one episode that if your cat makes it hard to trim her claws, just do a couple at a time instead of trying to do them all at once.

IT is pretty good movie has a great cast. might as well throw another fact about the movie. The lady plays the Aunt is one of the daughters of the great Charlie Chaplin.

I got my "Carol Symphony" CD yesterday. A nice surprise---I discovered that the third movement of the symphony is where the theme music of "The Box of Delights" comes from, and I love that music! It's festive while suggesting magic and mystery.

The time has come....

For the first time in 10 years, Ballcoach and Doc are going on a vacation...just the two of us. We fly out tomorrow morning and we are going to Orlando (her idea) for a few days and then to St. Louis to see Guns N' Roses (my idea)! We are so excited. After us both continuing in college, kids,new jobs, and moving up the ladder....we kinda forgot about us. This is such a welcome get away. We are staying at Animal Kingdom with a safari view! Giraffes will literally be right outside of our window! Can't wait!

I have one of those little Christmas Countdown ornaments. Broke it out today and put some new batteries in it. I'm going to program in two more week as we are approaching 100 days until the season. Amazing how time flies.
