lovely morning here. Bread is baked, house smells great. Going to make some cupcakes later, waiting for dishes to get finished by my wonderful son.
Also have more zucchini to process and get in the freezer. yummy blessings !

I am glad this old computer is actually working today. hoping to get some forms filled out and sent in finally.

Howdy Christmasstar. Did you have a nice holiday? Sounds like the world of baked goods is your destination for this Tuesday. Glad you could make it the festivities known as MMC as well and I'm certain we all hope your day is just as good (if not better) than ours. By the way, does Canada have Taco Tuesday?

Hey gang. Just got back from my 7 1/2 minute clinic appointment. Is there anything that gives you more confidence about a physician than to have him (or her) walk in with your chart in hand, introduce himself and then call you by the wrong name?
And my wife still wonders why I don't like going there? LOL. Anyway, it was can you feel this, push against this, throat looks good so apply heat 3 times a day and do these stretching exercises. I'm surprised he did not end with... "Take two aspirins and call me in the morning." or "Have you had this before? Well, you have it again!"

Greetings Iteach. I can relate a bit to Ohio, since I have two children (and their families) living there. I had lots of problems in the Summer when something in the realm of an allergy use to hit me in the evening. Like you though, I will take the cooler temps that we are also having here in SD.

Allergies are soooo bad in Ohio. In the summer my head closes up and I sneeze all of the time. In the winter I develop a cough that won't go away.

I really would like to move to a cooler climate state. I prefer cool and cold weather. Anything over 75 is too hot for me. Over 80 and I get miserable unless there is a really good breeze. I love the 40s and 50s for being outside.

Sounds a lot like the Dakotas or Minnesota. Of course Colorado or Idaho would also qualify, depending on where you decided to settle down. Wyoming is also beautiful, but has the least population in the US. Not a lot of city life.

CGY, did you and C'star plan this assault on our rumbly tumblies? First fresh baked goods and now warm, tasty tacos. I don't even have a this - is - what - we - are - having - for- supper - tonight card to play, because I have a supper meeting at a sausage place. Not even close to an acceptable ante up at this game.

Good Afternoon, MMC!!!!!! It's been a beautiful day here but it's starting to get a little steamy out now. I just closed the windows and turned the air on for a bit. I was out looking at apartments this morning. I wasn't to crazy about the one but liked the other one. I'm not sure how I would arrange furniture in the one I like though. It has a lot of storage for Santa's though so that's all that matters. Well along with the central air, dishwasher, 2nd bathroom, washer dryer hook ups, and the fact that it'd only be $35 dollars more than what my rent will be here when my lease is up for renewal. The other one would be almost a $100 cheaper but it has no dining room and lacks a lot in the storage category. So we will see whats available when it comes time to make that call. I can guarantee that I won't be staying here though unless things change. What was once a nice quiet community has been over run with loud mouth parents cussing out people and kids that that run wild. In fact one of the kids riding around on his bike scratched my neighbors car on Saturday and then mine on Sunday. Needless to say, we were at the office when it opened yesterday morning. I miss being the youngest person on the street. LOL!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Today was the first day of 7th grade for DD. We met the teachers & got her schedule yesterday. For the first time ever, we're not stressed about the school year! We're all actually excited for school this year. I'm trying to stay positive and not dread the other shoe to drop...; She seems to have good teachers (one she had last year & we loved him). She will play percussion in beginning band this year (she's been playing drums for around five years already) & can march in the high school band when she's in 8th grade. She got her bell kit last night. It is now set up in the living room & she's learning to pick out songs on it.

When school starts, I'm ready to listen to Christmas music & watch Christmas movies more often. I just wish I could find time.

I did keep mine in the smoker the entire time. I brined it, kept it in a pan, & mopped it with the maple/bbq sauce every hour for the last 3 hours. It was so delicious! Might have to do that again for Thanksgiving! Mmmm!!

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday! It's another cooler than normal August day, but the sun is shining & I'll take it!
Tonight we are having a surprise bridal shower for Miss Emma. I will be whipping up some appetizer ham sandwiches & a tailgate sandwich ring after work. That's about the only exciting thing going on around here today!!

Good Tuesday morning! Much cooler temperatures since Sunday but today should be warmer and mostly sunny. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift and have new hires to train this afternoon. And then I'll be doing a loss prevention audit of the whole store, at my boss' request, to know where we stand before official auditors show up. But for now I have supper in the oven (potato and leek gratin) and a load of laundry in the wash and Loki sleeping/dreaming next to me. Have a great day everyone!

Hope the new hires catch on quickly and that the audit looks good!!!
