Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning MMC!!!
Tomorrow we hit a major day in the year long march towards Christmas.
You may be asking yourself what that Milestone could possibly be, and how did we get here? It is the 3/4 point to Christmas!! But...today I will lead us into the numbers as they stand.

Days to the Season: 92
Days to Christmas: 134

The year is speeding by us and soon we will enter the best time to be a fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas fan. Crown shall return tomorrow and I hope everyone has a great day.

Merry Sunday!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 85 degrees. We're heading out soon with my daughter and her fiancé, we're going to look at a few venues for the wedding. So exciting! Not too much else planned, we'll just be hanging out by the pool later this afternoon. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Morning MMC! It's going to be a beautiful 83 degree sunny day with low humidity. Not much better weather you can expect for late summer. Did I say late summer? I guess it is getting towards the latter part of summer now. It's amazing that we're just 19 days till the Bers and everything starting all over again. Going to try to rest on my 4th day off in a row before the long stretch begins...won't be taking many vacation days till Thanksgiving. Have a great day!

Believe it or not we are now down to 2 lonely days till the 3/4 marker to the Christmas Season. 3/4 of the way back. Unreal! Crown will be back just in time to bring in that milestone. I was at the mall yesterday actually and thinking about how in just a few short months...everything is going to change in it. It's such a great amazing feeling when we reach this time of year. Hope you all have an awesome Saturday. Not many weekends left till the Bers!

Hope everyone is doing well. I have been thinking of you all as we move closer to the start of the ber months. Wow can you believe it!

Things have been hectic as we settle into the new house and complete some refurbishments and redecorating. Working hard to finish up by end of summer so the house will be ready for autumn/halloween decor!

I am enjoying a cup of Lipton. Maybe a couple of you may know what this means. My mum is here!!! She arrived August 01st and will be staying till end of September. It's been really good to have her here especially as it has been such a challenging year.

I also have some news. We have adopted two kittens! As some of you know, our previous house was too small for pets so this has been such a special milestone for us!! Here they are ...

Good morning Festive and how wonderful to hear from you. I did so much moving while in the service, that I can really relate to trying to arrange everything. I'm sure your first Christmas there will be a magical one. Not a Lipton fan myself, but I do have a better half and a daughter who enjoy it (though the iced variety). The kittens look adorable. Do you have the scratching posts ready to go? ;)
Keeping busy here, but mostly with yard chores. It never seems to end. I always tell myself i will get started in the early Spring and then actually get around to it sometime in the Summer. Take care and have a wonderful week...

Morning MMC! Back to reality...but it was a nice little summer vacation. Now back to work till Labor Day Weekend and the start of the Bers. I got a good amount done and also relaxed over my days off. Just handling one day at a time at work this week as my supervisor is out and I always just hope nothing major happens when she's gone. Looks like a nice day predicted with highs in the low 80s. Have a great Monday!

Festive, so nice to see you here! I'm sure the big move and subsequent work have kept you busy. Happy to hear that your mother is staying with you for a while. And those kitties are absolutely gorgeous! When we moved appartments years ago and our landlord allowed dogs, we jumped on the chance and got Loki. Enjoy your new home and kitties :)

It's certainly good to be back after a nice family reunion down in South Carolina.

But what's also so good that it's incredible, is the fact that we have arrived at another Milestone Day.
And not only that, but the marker in question is the THREE QUARTERS point to Christmas Season 2017!
That really doesn't seem possible, but yet........
(Now, I'm truly afraid to check the chart for the next marker. We will postpone that until tomorrow!)

A load of THANKS! to our dual guest counters, Edge and NcGunny, who saw us through the lead-up to today's Milestone Day with professional class!
(We have such good folks here, don't we?)


Our weather in SC was warm and humid (as it is there every year in August). We had a heavy rain Friday night into Saturday morning, but it occurred when everyone was in bed anyway.
(The sound of rain is great for sleeping!)
Today may see some rain here in the capital city as well, and this fourth and final quarter of our Season count has begun very cloudy, at 74 degrees.


Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone Everywhere out their in the Great MMC Nation!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Monday and Happy Milestone Day!
Busy day yesterday, we looked at at several wedding venues with my daughter and her fiancé. They ended up setting a date! January 4th, 2019. Less than a year and a half away! The catering hall is absolutely gorgeous. My daughter wanted a Christmas time wedding and the decorations at this place are spectacular. Of course the decorations will still be up for them on January 4th, we had that written in to the contract just to be sure! It will be magical. We are super excited!
I have an appointment later this morning with the naturopathic doctor. I need to stop at the health food store afterward. Other than that I'll just be working on my daily chores. My neighbor went fishing yesterday and brought us over some sea bass last night. My husband wants to have that for dinner tonight. I think I'll just pick up a pizza for the girls. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
