Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Morning, Friends.
The excitement builds as we approach yet another Milestone marker, the 13th one on our chart.
Which one? Stay tuned.

First, we must review today's numbers release:
Days to the Season: 94
Days to Christmas Day: 136

OK. Our next pending Milestone.
It's one we might not expect to be seeing this soon but it is almost here, nonetheless.
It is the THREE QUARTERS marker to Christmas Season 2017 and it now lurks less than half a week away. August 14, to be precise, a scant THREE days off.
(Wow, Guys. This is starting to become a bit much for me. Things are beginning to to moving along too quickly!)



The temperatures held in the 80's yesterday and the humidity readings were down a bit, especially in the evening. It made for a fairly comfortable transition from early to mid August.
Today should again see moderate temps for our trip to South Carolina but we just might get rained on along the way.
(Oh. well. That will help hold down the windshield bug splatters.)
We begin this Weekend Eve at 76 degrees, as we prepare to leave on our trip.

The first Christmas sign and ornaments are out at Walmart-

My brother had some red baubles and a string of blue Christmas lights hanging from a tall floor plant. I slept with them on all night to feel closer to Christmas. Working on my Christmas shopping list over the weekend. Hopefully, they have some Christmas cards out at Walmart in my neck of the woods.

Good morning MMC! Wish I could say "Happy" Friday but I'm not feeling so happy right now. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing well! She didn't eat yesterday. I gave her a little rice with chicken so I could give her meds & that came up too! She has no energy (unless someone comes over - you'll still get the wheaten greetin) but she just lays around. I called the vet this morning - they are going to give me a call back. My girl is stressing me out!

Just work for me this morning & then I'll be staying with Mom until tomorrow night. I have a feeling I'll be making a trip to the vet at some point today too. It's looking like rain outside. We could use it!

Oh I'm very sorry to hear that the latest round of acupuncture did not help. Hope the vet calls back early and that he can provide more help. I am sending positive thoughts your way and big hugs to you and Gracie from Loki and me.

It's so heartbreaking to watch our pets (family) suffering and feeling somewhat helpless to fix those ails. Sure hoping she perks up soon so you can feel relief and enjoy her company like the old days. Keeping good thoughts for you and Gracie.

The vet just called - they want me to bring Gracie in to give her a shot that will calm her stomach for 24 hours, then I'll give her a medicine that helps to keep her stomach calm so she will hopefully start eating again! xx

Made you going to GenCon? As of right now I will be there all day of the 18th. Alternating between Wizkids booth and Paasche airbrush booths and trying to score some new sponsorship..lol

I'm not. That's never really been my thing. I keep saying I'm going to go one year just to people watch though. So maybe next year. I'm supposed to be meeting my old neighbors at the state fair that day.

Not too much going on here today. I'm just having my coffee and working on a grocery list. I straightened up the house and started laundry so far. Dinner is in the crock pot, I'm making chili tonight. I have a couple of errands to run. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. That's about it.
I mentioned recently that my oldest went in to the city to be interviewed for an LPN position with NYU. They offered her the job. She has to go back to the city again for a couple of days of training but then she will be working in one of their medical centers here on the island. We're excited for her, I hope she loves the job.

She has to go back to the city again for a couple of days of training but then she will be working in one of their medical centers here on the island. We're excited for her, I hope she loves the job.
