A very Merry Monday to all the MMC Community. Nice cool morning at 68 currently and clear skies. That should make to eclipse viewing easier. Of course my first indication may be seeing it getting a bit darker while doing yard work...
Not much else on the card for today. I'll catch a movie with my much better half and do some BBQ for the evening dinner (along with corn on the cob and a potato casserole). I do have to make one quick trip to Menards for a few more patio pavers. But that is all I know of. have a nice day everyone and a fantastic last full week of August...

Merry Monday and back to the grind but it makes it even better that we are getting close to the Bers.
Jus work for me today and my kids are going to my in-laws for the night so my husband and I may go out to dinner.
Is anyone watching the eclipse? I may put it on TV since we don't have the glasses.
I bought a new tart burner over the weekend and I have Apples and Cinnamon burning now...reminds me of fall!

Most of the people I played against were 8-10 years younger than me. That's a good way to put it. I had fun, but had to put in a lot of effort!

Quiet time is most welcome. I had plans today, but Kim told me I can't go out between noon and 4pm due to the eclipse. Looks like it will e a quiet day!!

Just the opposite here. Just got back from Menards and was thinking about doing some yard work, when the good Lord decided to roll in a thunderstorm. Guess it will be just inside work or maybe the garage. Hopefully it will blow by in time for the BBQ, but I don't think the eclipse will be visible at this rate.
Oh well, I guess I could use the rest...

Timing is everything! It's more exciting when it happens in the MIDDLE of the day.
Someone asked me this morning when the height of the eclipse will be in our area. I answered "2:45." She said, "A.M. or P.M.?" Think about that for a minute ...

Similarly, "What time does Midnight Mass start?"

That's too bad. I could have used a thunderstorm here. It would have allowed for me to go outside without worrying about the sun! Normally, I probably would have went out but Kim told me that I had to stay inside... I think she mainly wants me to make sure that Simon (our cat) doesn't venture into the windows and stare at the sun.

There's nothing wrong with a little rest... I had far more than I had anticipated last night.

Good Monday morning! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift and that's a good thing since I need some rest after walking in the blistering heat yesterday in the Montréal Pride parade with my company. It's going to be another very hot and humid day today. I can't believe that in two weeks it will be September already. College students are back at school this week. It's going by so fast. Morning MMC!! Going to turn into a hot few days here and luckily I have a case of my favorite drink on order. Calypso Southern Peach lemonade.The few stores that carry Calypso up here never stock this flavor so I have to have em special order it by the case. Which just means I can drink more of it..lol

Have fun at dinner tonight if you go! I will be watching the eclipse from inside - or basically watching it get dark I guess. I have the weather channel on. It's really pretty cool! I brought my touch me not plant to work & set it outside - it changes from day to night so I'm curious to see what it will do. I also put a thermometer outside b/c they are all saying how chilly it gets as the eclipse comes through.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

It's just a little overcast, but I'm hoping it clears up so we can really experience the eclipse this afternoon.

I spent my weekend battling the swimming pool. I've spent more than $200 in the last few weeks buying the chemicals that the pool supply store said I needed to clear the cloudy appearance in my water, to no avail. I finally talked to the store owner who said I needed to change the sand in the pump. That was a job, but the water was looking better yesterday. He really shouldn't just rely on those part-time high school kids to sell chemicals based on a computer analysis. Sometimes your customers need your experience!

It's still hot and humid, but hunting season starts in just a few weeks! Woo hoo!!

Good morning, Merry Monday!
It's going to be a nice day, sunny with highs around 85 degrees. Great eclipse viewing weather. We're not in the path of totality here on Long Island but we will see a partial. We have our glasses and are excited to view it. Typical day otherwise of errands and chores. I'm making enchiladas for dinner. That's about it for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

You heard it here first, eclipse party at Made's in 2024!! We are only going to be at 91% today but will be in the path of totality then.

Now if Mother Nature will just make these clouds go away...

Woo Hoo!! I just heard this morning that in 2024 we are right on the path for totality! Have you seen what time of the day that is supposed to occur?
