Now that I'm a blubbering mess after that post, we had a turn of events last night. Gracie sent us "Lucy"! We had our feelers out for Wheaten breeders, but nobody had puppies available until December. 1st of all I hate our house without 4 paws in it & I didn't want to wait until December. Also didn't want to be training in the cold & during the busy holiday season! Jim was on the internet & stumbled across a breeder close to where Emma lives. He called them & they had 1 female Wheaten left in the litter - 8 weeks old, ready to go! We jumped in the car & off we went. We came home with "Lucy". That's the name she was given by the breeder, not sure if we'll keep it or change it to Stella! Still debating! She was a good girl last night! Gracie can never be replaced but Lucy sure makes me smile!! What a roller coaster of a day!!! She had her 1st visitor this morning ~ my sister came over to see her.

Well guys, it's with very heavy heart I report in this morning that we had to say goodbye to our sweet Gracie yesterday! :( Everything was shutting down - she was a sick girl! No more suffering for my baby! What an awful, horrible day! :( As hard as it was, we knew we were doing the right thing! My poor sweet girl. She was dealt a raw deal! She's forever in our hearts!

I'm so sorry, Holiday. She was such a sweet girl. Her playful spirit brightened a lot of lives in her short time with us. She will live on forever in all of our hearts. Lots of love and prayers for you and Jim. (((Hugs)))

Oh Holiday, I am so sorry to read about Gracie. It is better that she is no longer suffering but what a sad turn of events. Gracie will remain in our hearts. I'm sending you hugs and strength through this tough time.

I can understand wanting to have the presence of a furry baby, they bring so much joy and liveliness in a home. Lucy is absolutely adorable. She will have a great family to take care of her.

Oh, Holiday ... so heartbreaking ... we only knew her such a little while ...
But we know that Louanne was there to welcome her with open arms and a hug, so Gracie is still in our MMC family, and always in our hearts.

I am so sorry Holiday. I know how hard it is to lose one so young. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet, even for the right reasons is never easy. I wish there was more I could do or say at this moment...

Hello, Lucy/Stella!
(I like Lucy, especially if she is a bit of a clown!)
What a crazy day for you, but it does sound like Lucy was meant to come home to you.

Good Monday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I missed posting Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so it's about time I got back here.

I'm in Atlanta, travelling for work this week. I have three lunch meetings with nothing in between, so I'm spending a lot of time at the hotel LOL.
I hope everyone has a great evening! @Holiday, I hope Gracie improves!
Thanks Brad! She tried!
Hope you have safe travels!!!

Thank you! It was quite the whirlwind of a day. Sure didn't expect to have a new puppy this morning! But you are right - they bring a lot of love & happiness. Just when we need it the most.

I'm sure she will be a clown ~ she's a Wheaten! ;) It was a crazy day to say the least. My head hurt so bad! I think she will be a blessing! xx

Thanks Edge. Yes, she was taken much too soon. My heart will ache for a long time for her!

I just noticed this on the website of the breeder where we got Lucy yesterday. :)
