Good Afternoon, Christmas friends!
It's been another crazy-busy day, but I'm close to the end. A long-time customer and friend dropped by, wanting to go visit our former manager, Russell. Russell's been fighting the losing battle with ALS, and is almost completely bed-ridden now. But lots of people we've worked with through the years have been coming by the plant, wanting us to take them to see him. He touched a lot of lives, and impressed a lot of folks!
Today is Jacob's 20th birthday! I told him he has 365 days, then he's getting the boot LOL! Riiiight. Nancy would kick me to the curb first! We're taking him out to eat tonight.
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
Morning and Happy Wednesday. Sounds like a nice/full few days. And ending up with some pizza is not a bad way to end the whole thing. Enjoy the last few "official" days of Summer...Once the Saturday errands were complete, we settled into holiday weekend mode. So much so that supper wasn't until 11:40. Of course that led to sleeping in until 11:00 Sunday morning(Be not afraid...We went to Thursday evening church.) We reigned it in a little bit the rest of Sunday, so that by the time we got to Tuesday we were back on work schedule.
The finishing touch was our son stopping by with a large works pizza to share for last evening's supper.
A truly great end to the Summer 2017 season.
Hi there HMG. We had a nice day here as well. Got some yard work done, which included a little limb burning and ended with a easy BBQ of Burgers, Dogs, fries and potato salad.Good afternoon MMC ~
I hope everyone is having a nice day so far! We're getting back in to the swing of things, everyone is back to school & work. I'm heading out soon to do some shopping at the outlets. It's a beautiful day, sunny and warm. Stopping by my parents house as well for a quick visit. Back home afterward to make tacos for dinner
Hope everyone is well!
xx

Morning Whitney. Sounds like fun. Pigeon Forge is one of those areas I have set for my future as a vacation site and hearing just those few words you used to describe yours, sounds like I'm making a good choice. I have a few Dept 56 pieces as well. Most are from either Rodolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Grinch. Isn't it amazing how much more Christmas seems to cost every year? Our little family had another great Labor Day weekend. Our tradition is to go camping one last time for the year in Pigeon Forge, with some annual traditions & to do something new in the area too. This year we went to a magic show that DD & DH really enjoyed.
DH bought his first Department 56 pieces. He's had his eye on them for years when we go to The Incredible Christmas Place every year & this was his year. He bought the house & garage from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. He also got the figure of Clark & Rusty with the huge ball of Christmas lights. He & his sister were giddy last night when they were unpacking them to see what they looked like! DD is 12 & has never seen the movie. We told her she's old enough now, though we warned her there would be inappropriate scenes. The first night we have free, we'll watch it with her.
Hopefully I get the last of the weekend camping laundry done tonight & put out what little autumn décor we have. I've told DD to start making out her Christmas list. I know an iPod touch is at the top of her list this year.
HOLIDAY!!! How the heck have you been lady? Obviously from your posts, the time at the lake went very well and I don't suppose the Buckeyes defeating the Hoosiers was any less welcome than the rest of the mini vacation...At lunch I turned on the fireplace (no heat) - it just seemed like the cozy thing to do!
