I hadn't considered the whole "already knowing my anniversary number based on others' weddings." Good thinking! I'll be sure to post a couple photos when the time happens... That is if I am not too busy posting photos of Christmas Blossoms...
Very nice and I'll look forward to either/both. Enjoy your planning, the event and the end of the Summer season...
Goodbye Summer & Hello Fall.jpg

Good Afternoon, Christmas friends!

It's been another crazy-busy day, but I'm close to the end. A long-time customer and friend dropped by, wanting to go visit our former manager, Russell. Russell's been fighting the losing battle with ALS, and is almost completely bed-ridden now. But lots of people we've worked with through the years have been coming by the plant, wanting us to take them to see him. He touched a lot of lives, and impressed a lot of folks!

Today is Jacob's 20th birthday! I told him he has 365 days, then he's getting the boot LOL! Riiiight. Nancy would kick me to the curb first! We're taking him out to eat tonight.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Greetings Brad. We can't live forever, but it is always inspiring to hear that the legacy someone leaves behind him/her will bear fruit far beyond their years. I'm sure it has to be of some comfort to Russell.
I well remember when my son departed home for college and he asked if I would miss him. I answered, "You, yes. The tons of laundry, sink filled with dirty dishes and your interest in rap music... NO!"
When he later inquired about being on his own, I told him I did not ever worry about my own passing, but the only thing that would "bother" me in my final days is if I thought my children would not be able to make it without me being there. So it was necessary for him to give it all he had. Yes, he would have a place to come back and regroup if things went bad, but then back out and try again. Fortunately 22 years later, he has done just fine. Nice career, solid marriage and two wonderful children of his own.
Enjoy that time you have, it never comes back again except in your memory bank. Have a fun end to the Summer...

Happy Fall, y'all!! I hope everyone is doing well. Things have been so so busy but good on my end. With Labor Day passed, I've started putting out my fall decor around the house, so that's exciting!! The leaves are just barely starting to hint at changing. I'm ready to get into a fall routine. I hope everyone has a good Labor Day week and a wonderful start to your fall season!
A Wonderful Wednesday DoYouHear. Busy and good? Very nice indeed. So how many rooms get to see the Fall change in your abode? We had such a wet Summer that the leaves are all still nice and green, but I'm sure that will change in the near future. Labor Day and yesterday were nice and relaxing for the most part. So, enjoy your decorating the anticipation of the next season to arrive and the final Summer days of 2017...

Howdy XmasDreams. Looks like our weather will be much the same. They are calling for the mid 70's as highs for the remainder of the Summer season. Maybe I can even get a little more grass planted before that chill sets in. A/C is off and the windows are bringing in the fresh morning air. I love it. Just a couple of weeks till the official start of Fall. Ready???
Bye Bye Summer.jpg

There's only 11 days until the 100th day before Christmas!
Greetings and welcome. So how will you be observing that most auspicious occasion? Have fun these last few days of Summer and we look forward to hearing more from you...

Yes, I have most of my Autumn & Haloween decorations up. I have a lot of Thanksgiving decor that will come out later. Everything is pretty much the same as what I posted in Snowflakes 2016 Autumn decorations thread. I did end up replacing some white lights with orange and I love the warmth of the orange lights. Here's a picture ~

Very, very nice indeed HMG.

Morning MMC! 1st Day of School for most of the kids here. Another big turn as the Bers have begun. Hope everyone is doing ok. Scary looking Hurricane Irma isn't it? Hope everyone stays safe from it. Today we have a high of 70 degrees predicted with showers and thunderstorms. Other than that just hoping today will be a good day. Going to have some leftovers from the bbq tonight. That's always good as sometimes the leftovers taste better than the originals. Have a great day!

Good Morning, Crazy Christmas Comrades!

And what's really crazy is how fast our count is dwindling down.
(We may not be down to a bedpost yet, but it's coming!)

Let's take a look at today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 68
Days to Christmas Day: 110

But what IS just about down to a bedpost is the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone marker, now just TEN days ahead. That's SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow, Guys!
Then, at that point, we will begin a double-double digit count, always an exciting point to reach!

We had a thunderstorm yesterday evening that dropped quite a bit of rain, after a rather warm day.
Today should be dry however, with moderate temperatures.
Currently, we are at 67 damp, post-rain degrees here in the capital city.

Alrighty! Guess what?
Yep. I knew you would get it.
Today is not only 'Pines Day, it is the first 'Pines open house of September.
Naturally, the theme will be "Forward to Fall", and Carl has magically transformed the inn into Autum decor overnight.
Of course, since it is still warm, the pool has yet to close, so be sure and drop by, take your complimentary first glass of iced tea poolside and set a spell, as you sip your drink and munch on a fired twinkie.

And while you are enjoying that, you be sure and have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

Sounds like your friend is a great person....so great that he has all those visitors.

Irma looks terrible. I have an old co-worker that lives in Miami. She posted pics on FB of the lines in Costco just to get in the store, checkout and then you had to wait to leave...it was crazy!
Our weather looks the same as yours for today...enjoy!

Happy Pines! A dreary day out there so just working for me and I am going to work on laundry tonight. I am making an Italian Sausage Tortellini soup for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!!

Morning all,

First day of school today! Falling leaves, light winds and grey skies made a perfect back drop for their return. Ahhh fall is here.

Mum and I just got back from the shops. They are all busy clearing out summer for Halloween. I got some large Pumpkin lantern reduced from 10.00 to a £1.00 so I got a few! With all this space in the new house I will be sure to find somewhere for them. They must have been left over clearance from last halloween.

Anyway, have a great day. Off to pick up kids in an hour and start dinner after. Vegetarian italian sausages with linguine and sauce.

Good morning ~
Merry Pines Day!
We're expecting thunderstorms today with a high of 74 degrees. I'm heading out soon for a chiropractor appointment. I would like to make a Target run afterward, hopefully the rain isn't too bad. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. I'm making a roasted turkey breast for dinner with mashed potatoes & gravy and broccoli with garlic & olive oil. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well <3

ahhhh fallen leaves, first sub-10degree day already been and gone. Hoodie removed from hibernation (closet). I feel a marked increase in child-like anticipation.

And.... almost as a joke, but it actually happened, a wiley radio dj played "Wham - Last Christmas" earlier this week on my drive into work. I had such a smile on my face, oncoming drivers must have *known* what I was listening to.

Roll on Chrimbo!

Continuing to pray for Russell! That's so nice that so many people care about him. He sounds like an amazing person!
I hope Jacob had an awesome 20th birthday!!
