Hi everyone! Just doing errands and going to church today. Our fall decor is out and I'm loving it! Burned a delicious mulled cider candle last night and our apartment smells heavenly. Thinking of all the folks in Irma's path and praying you stay safe and your loved ones do, too. I got to see my college friends yesterday which was SO much fun! Today will be playing catch up and trying to relax a bit before working a 6 day week coming up. Have a good one, y'all!

I can't hardly wait to start putting up fall decorations!!! Have a great day DYHWIH!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Brisk and sunny here, with a brilliant blue sky ... it's hard to believe that a hurricane is raging farther south. My heart goes out to anyone who lives in Florida.

Getting some laundry done here and continuing to work on a Christmas video project. Later I hope there will be time for crochet, tea, and relaxation ... we have a heavy week ahead of us where I work.

Happy Sunday! I am just having coffee and relaxing. I need to run to the grocery store later and my husband is going to make wings for the football games today. Hope you all have a great day!

Evening all,
Rough day at work followed by phone call from my brother letting me know mum's cat died after a rough week of being ill. He just couldn't break the news to her over the phone so I told her in person. Maze had been in and out of the vet all week and sadly they did all the could but she passed away. Mum is so heartbroken especially as she was not there for Maze I feel so sad for her as well as my brother My brother found Maze abandoned back in Feb and brought her home.

Hope everyone is well and prayers for everyone suffering the hurricane and storms.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about Maze! How nice of your Mom to give her a good home! (((HUGS)))

Thank you! Whatever we do get of the storm looks like it'll be tomorrow so here's hoping it isn't too bad. They have cancelled school and it looks like I'll stay home from work in case we have tornadoes that they are now warning us to look out for. Normally my oldest daughter babysits but better safe than sorry! I feel horrible for everyone that is going through Irma at the moment. It looks really bad.

Morning MMC! 9-11...never forget that day. And also those in the path of the hurricane. It was so nice here this weekend I almost felt guilty. It was a busy weekend but a good one. Next weekend should be quieter. I like those weekends more than the busy ones sometimes. Today we expect another nice day with mostly sunny skies and a high of 76. Have a good Monday!

Sure is windy outside! Gusting up to 60MPH, according to the local news, and it's supposed to get faster near noon. I'm hoping the power lasts at least until daylight. Y'all stay safe!

Good Morning to all the MMC crowd. Sorry I did not get the chance to stop by yesterday, but it was a weird day for me overall (but not a bad day). I dined on quite a bit of taco meat in tortilla boats and on hamburger buns. There may not be too many here who remember an item carried by the early days of Taco Bell called a Bellbeefer. Basically a taco on a hamburger bun. So I decided to be a little retro for opening Sunday at the NFL. Not a ton on the books for today. I do have to make one quick trip to Wally World and then get some yard work done. We got a gentle soaking Saturday afternoon to early Sunday morning, so that should help.
With highs this week all in the 80's, I'm hoping to get more done outside, but also to get into the garage and start with the many boxes of Christmas located therein.
Tonight it will be time to fire up the grill once more. My extremely better half has requested steaks, so that and some chops sounds like the way to go (maybe a ham steak instead of chops).

Merry Monday! Just a usual day of work for me and tonight my daughter has an away soccer game under the lights starting at 6:30. I have a busy week ahead...I have 2 open houses for both the kids and another soccer game on Thursday. I think I will definitely be using my crockpot a couple of times this week. I was just watching a 9/11 memorial on TV...such a sad day.

Doing "Steeleye Span" albums now... teetering dangerously close to "Gaudete", which by happenstance, is not on the current album i'm listening to... Halloween can't come first enough, got a "yuletide backlog" in my mind which really wants out.

Afternoon SnowflakeMom. Ahhh, the busy world of the sports Mom. I do remember it being full at times and I only had to deal with one teenage son. As much as I love and miss him, I won't lie and say that those times did not find me frustrated now and again, trying to hunt for just a moment or two for myself. Though I am certain age has had a thing or two to do with that as well.
By all means, breakout the Crock Pot and have a fun week...

Good morning MMC! "Merry" Monday! It's crazy how fast the weekends fly by!!

It was a good weekend with Mom. We had a blast at the Country craft store. I bought a few things - still haven't had time to decorate for fall though! My mums were delivered yesterday. So exciting! I have to share the picture of my gigantic mum ~ I had no idea it was going to be so huge!!! LOL

Little Lucy had a good weekend! She's so funny! She had her 1st vet appointment Saturday morning & it went fine. He switched her dog food, but other than that - all looked good. She weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs!

Let's see. Since this mornings post I have gone to Wally World and Menards, taken care of the trash for the morning pick up, cut the grass in the front lawn and dug up, leveled out, spread grass seed, covered it over and watered the new area.
So where does that leave me... Break Time!! I hope everyone else is doing well.
BTW Holiday, I saw the final for the game. What the heck happened? At least it is an early season loss and did not wind up with them dropping out of the top ten.

That is very true - same is true for lunch time & evenings!
I always spend too much $$ every year on mums & pumpkins! But I love um!!
