I ALMOST did that the other afternoon ... started to pour boiling water over a packet of sweetener ... forgot the teabag! Well, that's how crazy and hectic work has been, it has me a bit addled.
But today I get to leave a bit early, 'cause we're going to see the Red Sox at Fenway tonight.I'm sure I'll pay for it on Friday, when we're rushing through a huge volume of work and I've had insufficient sleep! But it looks like it's going to be fine weather for baseball this evening.
Enjoy the game tonight!! How fun! Hopefully tomorrow will be better than expected!! xx

Lucy can't let Jackson alone!!! This morning I think Jackson was glad when I left for work & Lucy went in her cage. LOL!! Yes, they will go to the lake with us. I'm sure Jackson will want to spend some time at his trailer to get away from Lucy. Ha ha!!

You're so lucky that you live very close to your favorite place, the lake! My favorite place, the NC mountains, is about 5.5 hours away. We've made weekend trips before, but it take half a day to clean up and get the laundry ready for the return trip home, so we try to limit trips to three days.Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve! Not much going on today except work. I've got some laundry to do at lunch. Our house guest Jackson arrived last night. He's such a good boy! Hopefully he will teach Lucy GOOD things!!
This morning I brewed myself a big ol cup of coffee - then realized I forgot to put the K cup in! LOL! Hot sugar water! I hope that's not a sign of how this whole day is going to go!
Tonight I'm staying at the lake. A couple friends took the day off tomorrow so they are coming to the lake tonight. I love waking up at the lake!I'll still have to come to work tomorrow, but it's not far!

By the way - it's 51º outside this morning! I get to work & every window was open. It was 63º in the office with a breeze blowing through!

I agree, we are lucky to live close to our favorite place. Most of the neighbors around us have to drive 1 - 1 1/2 hours to get there. The only downfall is it's not truly a "getaway" - if we have plans to go to the lake for the weekend & someone asks us to do something, we can't really say "we'll be out of town" LOL!! But it's all good!

It's finally arrived. Yes, autumn weather is here in Canada's Capital. After nearly two full weeks of daily highs reaching at least into the 30s/mid-80s before humidex, we're now barely into the mid 50s/15c today. What a difference!
Much like the previous days, there isn't really a cloud in the clear blue sky. Yesterday, the wind picked up and finally pushed away a high pressure system that has been hanging around for at least the last 10 days. The storm produced a bit of flash flooding and even toppled over some trees in the mere 10-15 minutes it hit.
I am almost done teaching for the day. It's barely over a half day, which kind of stinks, but at least it's work! I'm doing the same tomorrow... Hopefully no more .6 days after tomorrow!
The 'Pines was wonderful yesterday. It was crazy seeing all the September celebrations. We're nearly 1/4 of the way through the 'BERS... October is nearly here, and (Canadian) Thanksgiving is only one weekend away. I can't wait to indulge in the fixings next weekend! Mmmm.
