Christmas Countdown - 2017

How about that wild weather last night and this morning here on the East Coast? We had a window that blew open in one of those 65 mph wind gusts that scared the dickens out of the Mrs. We never lost power (which was good) but it did flicker a couple of times. The wife's school district, had six out of seven schools that were closed today due to flooding, trees down, and or no power. She was bummed, her school was the only one that was open.

Today was my first day at work for my new job here in Connecticut. Went very well, I felt a little bit out of place a few times, but in the end it seemed to all come together and started to feel like business as usual; to some degree.

I cannot believe that tomorrow is Halloween already. Wow, time is totally just blowing by. We went out last night and got a big bag of candy (just in case), a Hershey's mixed bag assortment of chocolates... one for trick-or-treaters, two for me, one for trick-or-treaters, two for me, LOL!!!!

Goodness Gracious, that's a BIG truck LOL!

I know, it's totally a mid-life crises thing! I had an itch that I just had to scratch... Its got a 6.4 ltr, twin turbo; with a 35 gallon diesel tank, 350 horsepower, 600lbs of torque and it gets a whole 13 miles to the gallon. It has a fifth wheel connection but I don't own anything (yet) to use it with....LOL! Sure it hurts the wallet to ride around in it, but it's really fun to drive.

It's my little tradition to watch TNBC on Halloween, as a sort of gateway to Christmas things, music, etc..

Hi again. Just got back from shopping and laundry. Is someone asking don't you have a washer/dryer at your home? Yes, we do. But my wife and daughter have this thing about those appliances. It seems that the last load into the dryer is to remain there until you need them and the last one into the washer has to wait for the dryer. Usually, I just finish up the minor chore, but this morning I just said oh well, packed up my clothes and drove to the laundromat. I love them both and I'm certain that I have habits that bug them a little too.
At least it is all done now and I can get ready for other Monday Funday activities. Have a "Ball" everyone...

Got one pan of Nutella brownies in the oven and a second one coming up, for a Halloween bake sale at work tomorrow. One batch will be topped with orange-coloured cream cheese icing and the other with Reese's pieces. Enjoy a great evening everyone!

Good morning and Happy Halloween. I saw part of that when the NFL games were played on Sunday and had heard it was going to get a bit more intense later on. Glad to hear that your home suffered no damage. Hopefully your drive to work will not be one of avoiding problems in the road. Enjoy the final day of October 2017 and whatever festivities you have planned for the evening...

Happy Halloween. In that case, I certainly agree and do own that one myself. Have not watched it this year yet, but i have treated myself to Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Toy Story of Terror, Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney's Ichabod Crane) and Disney's Halloween Treat.
But I must admit that does sound like a very cool transition film.
By the way, the "Ballroom" scene in the other posting is from Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. Have a fun-filled last day of October...

Happy Halloween everyone. It is early here in the mid-west and for now the time for "Ghosts & Goblins" is silent. And every now and then, that is a good thing...
Not much planned for the day, I did take it off to help get the place prepared and to hand out treats this evening. Maybe get started on rearranging my den, it really needs it.
