Only 3 weeks until Macy's parade and the big turkey feast ... no, I still can't believe that! I think I need more Christmas music to get caught up!

Thank you! I'm not too concerned about having a cold, I just don't want to give it to Mom! If I'm still coughing tomorrow I might have to see if Alice will switch nights with me - she is coming Sunday night. Maybe she could come Friday instead & give me an extra day. We'll see! (It's so nice to have back-up)

Rotten weather here...rain non stop and it has knocked most of the leaves off. Neighbor is going crazy because its to wet to put up lights.

Happy Friday Eve!!
Looks like it will be a dreary day but will be warmer..I am looking forward to some cooler weather that stays around. Hard to believe Thanksgiving is 3 weeks away. It is getting closer and closer!
I am going out tonight with 2 friends for dinner at an Irish pub, they have such good food.

Looks like after Monday we have nothing above 49 for the rest of the 15 day forecast. It's time - this up & down stuff is what has everybody coughing!

It's weird but I'm not feeling it yet. Maybe next week I will when we do the special posts. I think that I'm still more in Halloween mode than Thanksgiving yet.

I haven't really thought much about it yet either - probably b/c our family isn't talking about it yet as far as who's hosting, etc. I think everybody is afraid to have a Thanksgiving celebration b/c last year mom was so healthy at Thanksgiving & 2 days later she was in the hospital with pneumonia - which is when things started going down hill for her. I think in the back of everyone's mind we are thinking "Should we have our traditional Thanksgiving & expose mom to all the germs???" There are lots of little ones who are major germ carriers. LOL

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday Eve!!! Looks like it's going to be a dreary but warm day! We have a high of 64º predicted today. No wonder I slept on the couch last night, coughing half the night. UGH! Started with a sore throat then moved to a chest cold. My yearly November cold! I just need to nip it before tomorrow as I have mom this weekend!

Last night I got icing on all the cut out cookies I made Monday. I think I'll stick them in the freezer for Thanksgiving. Well, we'll have to eat the ghosts, Oh darn!

A sure sign that Christmas is coming: my husband asked me this morning when we will put up the tree. To be fair, I think he asked in part because he wants to store away the portable air conditioner and to do that he needs to take the tree out of the closet first. I don't think he feels like hauling out the box only to put it back in the closet and have to haul it out again when we do put up the tree (which is not yet).

Getting excited here all inside is up, working on the outside, still weeks of work to go, but it's the best time of year on our cul de sac!

Giggle of the Day: From before I entered the office, today, through the last time I ventured to the Break Room, the television has been tuned to Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Yep, there are Christmas movies running all day while the space is heavily decorated for Halloween.

I got a cute app last night called Holiday Bells ... it has a handbell that you can ring either by tapping it or shaking the phone (and you can change the pitch of the tone); a set of sleigh bells that you can ring by tapping them or shaking the phone; and a set of musical handbells that play a selection of Christmas songs, or you can tap them to play your own tunes. Silly, but fun!

Thanks! Yep, I hope so too. How do you have Thanksgiving & not include mama?!?!! (which is what her heart doc has recommended - hibernation for the winter/pneumonia season)
