Christmas Countdown - 2017

[Holiday]

I'd like to think I do. Instead, I somehow manage to sneak in a few songs here and there. My weakness is when I have to clean, cook, or do dishes. I need some form of motivation!

Oh, I can relate to that!!! The cleaning fairy never seems to visit our house overnight!

So, at lunch I took down my Halloween things - only about 10 things - most of my fall decs can stay up until Thanksgiving. I didn't put them away yet (they are sitting on the island) but tonight I'm planning to dig out my pilgrims & turkeys to fill in the spots the Halloween things were!

Also got word that the nurse was over to see Mom this morning & she hears crackling in her right lung base. We noticed coughing yesterday. She seems to have an upper respiratory infection. Gosh darnit!!

I got a cute app last night called Holiday Bells ... it has a handbell that you can ring either by tapping it or shaking the phone (and you can change the pitch of the tone); a set of sleigh bells that you can ring by tapping them or shaking the phone; and a set of musical handbells that play a selection of Christmas songs, or you can tap them to play your own tunes. Silly, but fun!

Love fun silly things, especially at Christmas!!!!

Thank you so much SnowflakeMom. That’s good to know about Amazon. I decided to check my attic before going to Michael’s and I found more garland up there. I took a ride to Michael’s anyway just to look around and they have all things Christmas out!

That's a tough decision! I've never had one - don't plan to get one for many years yet. xx

Speaking as one who gets the flu shot every year ... get the shot. If you don't want to go back to the doctor, various drugstore chains usually offer the shot in their pharmacy. Since getting a shot each year, I've never had the flu (although I had a very nasty non-flu virus once). Not only so you don't get the flu, but so that you won't get it and spread it among others.

I saw that my local Rite Aid is offering flu shots. I’m leaning towards getting the shot. Having the flu last year was just awful, I do not want to go through that again. It really threw me for a loop!

Busy times in the 7/8 world today. One more workday until the weekend. It will likely be another busy day with the 7/8s. We'll see how it goes!

Other than that, it should be another busy weekend, too. I think there will be lots of running around to find blossoming signs of Christmas. I hope to see a few things around a mall, that's for sure!

I've never had the shot and every year I wonder if I should get it. I think I will take your advice and get it this year.

Oh no i am sorry to hear about mum. At least they have spotted it soon so treatment can start right away? Praying for her.
