Christmas Countdown - 2017

Evening everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Our week is nearly upon us. Kim and I took in many of the sights and sounds of the soon-to-be Season this weekend. On top of our actual experiences, I am sure you all have been seeing wonderful Christmas commercials on your TVs over the past few days, too! The Season is so close!

I managed to snap about 50 photos that I will be uploading to the Blossoms thread tomorrow. I think I'm a little too tired to do it tonight.

The highlight of the weekend was when Kim and I found our very own A Christmas To Remember type store at Place D'Orleans Mall here in Ottawa. It was an absolutely elegant store with plenty of Christmas beauty. We loved it!

Well, I think it's bed time here. I'm not looking forward to waking up at 7:15...!

Morning Brent. Always nice to find that special place where Christmas comes alive for you (besides the home of course). I have seen some commercials, but not a big fan of them. Which is why I record more TV than I watch live. Some are very nice and I do have favorites from years past. Have a great week...

Merry Morning to all,
It is freezing out as temps reach below minus. Cold crisp beautiful day but I am stuck in with the kids who are both unwell. Shame they have to miss their first day back at school today.

Santa has arrived in the city!

Greetings Festive. Santa has arrived indeed! Sorry to hear the children are under the weather. Fortunately they have an exceptional mom to care for them and keep the Christmas Spirit alive and well.
24 frosty degrees here and only a high that will barely break the freezing mark. But I can handle it. Have a wonderful Monday...

the mrs and i have been making our way through Hallmark Christmas classics - almost 1 per night!

The non-descript straight-to-tv movies are great - just good, clean, yuletide drama.

Morning Chrimbo. Yes, the Hallmark channel is certainly one of the few remaining where you can watch with the entire family and even leave the room for a moment or two without worry. Enjoy this frosty Monday...

Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
It’s going to be cloudy with showers later today, highs near 68 degrees. Not too much going on here. I have an appointment with my naturopathic doctor this morning. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores and hopefully finish decorating my Keepsake tree. I’m so tempted to pull all of my Christmas decorations out but my husband wants to hold off. At least I get to enjoy this one tree for now. The glow of those lights at night make me so happy, gives me the warm and fuzzies!

Good morning HMG. 68 huh? Must be nice... lol. Hopefully your appointment goes well. How big is your Keepsake Tree? I have one large one up and several smaller ones. At least three more will be added before inside is complete, but that always requires a bit of rearranging the furniture. Have a fun day...

Morning MMC! The last week before the Christmas Season? Yes I guess that is true somehow, someway. Had a mostly good weekend. Now time for a 5 day week. Looks like it will be mild today before a cool down. Starting to really think about Thanksgiving now. I think it's hitting me how close we are to it. I hope for a good day for everyone at MMC. Enjoy it...cause something major is coming next week!

Howdy Edge. Hope your November is going well. NFL and all... lol. Our "cool down" has already started and it looks like the high 30's to low 40's will be the norm for awhile. Have a great day and a better week...

Good Monday morning! It's raining right now but it should clear up later today and temperatures will take a dive. We're supposed to be below zero Celsius by week's end. Some online Christmas shopping for me today and catching up on the dvr. Hope you all enjoy a great day!

Good Morning MMC !!

Monday morning and already into the first full week of November.
I too have many thoughts on where to put Christmas trees and decorations this year. We’re still looking for the perfect tree. We must have artificial as the real causes too many allergies to flare up here. I know where I want to put it, or I should say them, just have to find them.
I have many new and old lights this year and plan on putting a lot on the outside as well as on the inside.

But for now I’m concentrating on the cake competition and getting my cakes done.
Going to be starting a job that’s only 2 1/2 hours a day ( reminds me of my school bus driving days) I am blessed to be able to look after a six-year-old little girl, get her up and ready for school and then take her there. Going to be fun especially with Christmas coming!

Right now I am enjoying a mug of tea and the quietness of the morning.

Good Morning MMC !!

Greetings all. Monday has once again made the weekly appearance to let us know it is the start of another week and seven days closer to our favorite day of the year.
With the cold setting in, today I will inflate the large Christmas yard decoration and figure out where to place the fence line for the corral. Then the decoration will come back in and the fence posts will go up. That and some work in the garage will be about it for today. My daughter has requested me to fix Taco Pizza for our family TV time tonight, so I will have to make a brief HyVee stop today.
I hope everyone had a nice week and that the weather where ever you are is allowing for your holiday spirit to grow. I came across a section that had letters to Santa, so I am going to post one a day (for awhile anyway). Have a great week...

Good Monday Morning Holiday (I know you will be here sometime today). What happened to "The Ohio State"? Can't believe they lost to Iowa. Unless of course they felt inclined to give them an early Christmas Present.

Good morning everyone! What a stormy day we had yesterday! I felt so bad for our neighbor down the street; he just finished putting out all of his Christmas decorations (including probably about 15 inflatables, huge ones as well, he goes all out for Halloween and Christmas every year) and then we had a horrible thunderstorm last night with heavy rain and very strong wind. I hope none of his decorations were damaged! I spent the day decorating and ended it with a crock pot of homemade chicken noodle soup and garlic bread. It was the perfect day for that kind of meal! Today I will just get some errands done and hopefully continue the decorating process! I have some health issues that make that a very slow process, but that just means I prolong the fun! Have a great day everyone!

Merry Monday Sugarmuffin. We get some here too especially the wind in and around the Christmas season. I have had a couple of nights when I had to take the inflatables down and just go with the lights. Luckily, that is not often. It's always very nice to have it. Kim and I just marvelled in the elegance. It was tough to think that we still had to wait eight days to decorate after experiencing all that!

There are a couple I enjoy, but nothing has really jumped out at me yet either. Hopefully the commercials can improve as the Season comes alive. Good idea on the recording of TV. I don't really watch much (Kim does), but at this time of year I end up paying more attention to the commercials than the show.
