Merry Monday!
Looks like we will have a mild day and then head into some cooler weather...which is ok with me I am ready for it.
Just work for me today and my kids have tomorrow off for Election Day and Friday for Veterans day. I also took Friday off so I am looking forward to a long weekend.
I just bought a couple more Christmas gifts...only 48 day left!! How did that happen?
Have a great day!

Good Morning, One-Week-To-Go Season Enthusiasts!
That's right, Folks. ONE week to go!

Days to the Season: 7 (ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 17 (UNDER 2 1/2 weeks remain!)
Days to Christmas Day: 49 (SEVEN WEEKS from today!)

Wow, Guys.
And what's more, our Special Post Series begins THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!
Double-WOW!!

It was warmer yesterday, as the sun melted away our morning clouds, revealing a very nice afternoon.
Today should see the temperature climb into the upper 70's with little chance of rain.
We are at 56 degrees right now, here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

{ The Special Post Series. It begins in just 3 days!! }

Wow. One week from today! The Special Posts will make everything fly by even faster! I enjoy the countdown every day, Crown, but it just becomes even more special as we inch closer to our favourite time of the year!

Morning SnowflakeMom. Cooler weather seems to be on the agenda for most of us Northerners.
Long weekends are always welcome. Going to have to squeeze in a few more of them for 2018. Enjoy the day and your countdown...

I remember last year on this day someone in chat saying how in 50 days everything will be over (will be Dec 26th). Hard to think about everything that's going to happen over the next 50 day stretch. Better than the previous 300 days combined.

Have had a really weird/scary morning. Ran like I always do and at the end had to stop. Nothing stops me...but I felt such a pain in my chest so suddenly. I could barely stand/walk at the end. I wound up trying to do other exercises and then felt it again. Collapsed in bed...laid there for about 90 minutes...I literally felt almost paralyzed. I am up and walking around now trying to take it easy. I never felt anything like that before...my chest and my back really hurt so bad it was like I couldn't even stand up. I am not sure what I did to myself this morning or why that happened out of nowhere.

Get it checked ASAP Edge. Can't add a "Like" to this post. Chest pains are not something to be taken lightly. It may be nothing, but not worth taking the chance. Work will understand.

Thanks CG. The weird thing is that it turned more into a back pain than a chest pain...like it was related all around that area from front to back. Was not fun at all.

I agree with CGY...I would put a call into your Dr and make an appt.
Good Luck!!

Good morning MMC!! How in the world is it Monday again already? Did we even have a weekend???

We had crazy storms/tornado come through yesterday. The tornado didn't hit directly here, but in the town Jim works in about 15 miles from here. Lots of building damage. There were 2 people injured from what I'm hearing, but I believe everyone is ok. Jims uncle & his cousin both lost barns. So scary! My bro/sil came flying over to Moms & helped me carry her in her wheel chair down the basement - twice. It's never a good sound to hear those tornado sirens going off! Thankfully our town was spared for the major storms/damage. EEK!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Good evening everyone. I just got back to Connecticut about an hour ago, I spent the weekend in Pennsylvania. The weather here is like Blahhhh; foggy, warmish, a misting rain. It's the kind of weather that makes a body just want to crawl in bed.
Welcome to New England! :)

You need a doctor to check that out. Immediately. Maybe it's not your heart, but if it is, you need to know now.

Thanks ! You too!! Will be keeping you and your mum in my thoughts.
Thanks Festive!! I would turn on the Hallmark Channel/Christmas movies & when I would walk back in the tv room, mom had changed the channel - several times over the weekend!!! MOM!!!! ;)
I hope you had a great weekend / Bonfire night!!

Happy Friday!!!! We took our Halloween decorations down yesterday and got the rest of the outdoor fall decorations up. Hoping to be able to get some Christmas shopping in this weekend and we have another family dinner on Sunday with out of state family. Hope everyone has a great day and in case I don't get back on this weekend have a great weekend,.
Awesome! I got my Thanksgiving decs up last night. So exciting!!
Hope you had fun with your family!!

Glad you are feeling better Holiday. Your description of how you slept last night reminded me so much of when I would get sick as a child (which was often). Especially the vaporizer and Vicks.

No decorating planned, but I will be editing my Christmas playlist and shop for gifts.
I hope you are enjoying your staycation!!!

I always get excited about the tree that Nova Scotia sends to Boston to thank them for their support after the explosion in 1917. This year marks their 100th anniversary. Here's a link to learn more about the tradition. https://novascotia.ca/treeforboston/
I never lived in Nova Scotia, but my grandparents did so I feel connected.
What a great story. I saved the link so I can watch the tree lighting on Nov. 30th!!

So the place where I saw a Christmas tree all lit-up through their patio door window has now fully decorated their balcony as well. They win at Christmas.
Awe man!! I can't wait to see the 1st Christmas tree through a window!!!

Hurray for me; I found the Holiday Tradition station on SiriusXM and had it playing in the car before the dinner meeting last Thursday. I cranked it up really loud when some people were passing by and they asked later at the buffet line-up what I was rocking to and they laughed when I told them it was Christmas music.

Yesterday, during a play therapy session, a child used a plastic sheep with no front legs and a reindeer without antlers (chewed off I think) to tell a story and sing a made up song about why they couldn't guide Santa's sleigh.

See, there are merry Christmas moments in my life nearly everyday that bring about thoughts of all of you and our ongoing celebration of the most wonderful time of the year.

To top it off, the across the creek neighbours have the start of their lights up. So far they just have lights on a wooden rail post, but I know the indoor and outdoor lights will appear soon. I will once again drop a Christmas card into their mailbox. I often wonder if they receive it well or if they worry about the person who is "watching them". I'm not really watching them, just appreciating their decorations. These days you never know how people react because their are so many wackos in the world. I'm guessing they appreciate the gesture.

I have half of my Christmas shopping finished already. I have two people I'm surprising with a surprise package this year. Feeling the magic of the season and looking forward to the countdown and staying up late on Nov.12th so I can celebrate the "in season" moment in real time at midnight - that's why I booked the 13th off from work. That's the day I'm starting my Christmas cards. Going to our Michaels store today to pick up some blank cards so I can make some of my own this year.

Keep a merry thought in your head :lightman

What a neat tradition you have going on with the Christmas card!!
Nice to have the 13th off work! :)
