Christmas Countdown - 2017

Morning MMC! Got to watch 2 more Christmas shows last night. Keeping that going tonight. Won't have time Thursday to wrap because we have our Christmas party so tonight I will definitely be wrapping some more. Cold morning! Hope you all have a great Mid-Week!

I just went outside to fill up the bird feeders and it is so cold and windy out there! We may get a couple of inches of snow tonight. I have lots to do today, I’m still chipping away at the Christmas shopping. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. See you at the Pines!

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 31 **


Good Morning, Guys!

Well, it's official. A full, complete month of Christmas Season 2017 is now in the books.
And what's of even greater significance?
The fact that we are closing in rapidly now on SINGLE DIGITS to Christmas Day!
(Yep. It's true. SINGLE digits!)
Days to Christmas Day: 12 (Three days to single digits, in fact!)

Cold weather has arrived, Folks. We are starting off at a right chilly 24 degrees and it doesn't look like it's going to get too much warmer by this afternoon.
At least it's sunny, with no precipitation in the forecast.

Regardless of the cold weather though, things are always hot at the 'Pines.
In fact, both pools are heated to a toasty level and you should have no trouble staying warm. The inn is decorated to the nines in high Christmas of course, so there is no excuse not to go.
Oh. Be sure to drop by the theater room to catch a screening of "White Christmas" or (naturally) "Holiday Inn".
See you there.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! I can't believe there are only 12 days until Christmas!! I need more Christmas Season time!!!

It's COLD outside!! 14º! It's a cloudy/dreary day with a chance of snow this afternoon. I got the tree up at work yesterday. It looks pretty on this dark morning!

Thanks HMG! Yep. His legs felt better this morning. He said he couldn't feel his heartbeat in them anymore this morning. HA! He put ice on them last night & took some ibupro. Good to go now! Back at it this morning...

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

What a windy day it was yesterday! I went home at lunch to find that the wind had pulled up part of the tin roof on my shop, so I spent my lunch break on the roof, fixing that. I still have to deal with a broken limb on my house roof. It did not detach form the tree, but it's leaning on my roof, and it's too heavy and too high for me to reach, even with Jim's monster extension ladder. I guess I'll have to rent a bucket truck, doggone it.

We're having a plant-wide lunch tomorrow, so that should be fun.

Good Wednesday morning! It's a veritable Winter Wonderland out there with all the snow we got. Even after all these years, I still can't believe that so many people come to shop at our store even with the hard driving conditions we had yesterday.

My boss just texted me letting me know that his father passed away last night. He had been ill for quite some time and had recently been moved to paliative care. My boss knew it was just a matter of days. I'm just glad that he could be with his father last night. It will be a trying time for his family this Christmas, as my boss' ex-wife and mother of his two grown kids also passed away this year (sadly she committed suicide). I will keep all of them in my thoughts.

Wish I could stay in today, bundled up under the covers on the couch with Loki, but I'm working the afternoon/evening shift, so it's time to start getting ready. Enjoy your day everyone.
