Last minute grocery store run today...what a mistake. Snow and sleet, people acting like the dark ages are hitting. I got to watch people root through the hams, nothing seems to surprise me anymore with peoples actions. Decided I better stock up on Eggnog because it will disappear once again !!
I adopted several new Nutcrackers on sale already and a gorgeous Santa Claus.

The work week is officially over for me. One of the owners came in and said at 1:30, we are done for the day. I ended up staying till 2, just because, and then I packed up and went home. The traffic coming home, uggghhhh! A combination of people leaving work, holiday travelers and Christmas shoppers, what a mess!

I'm home now, sitting in the big chair with a blanket covering my legs and two kitty cats on my lap. Everyone is all snuggly at the moment.

The weather outside, I truly do not think that the weather forecasters have a clue to what we are supposed to be getting tonight. It's cold, damp and blahhh, outside, salt trucks are sitting off the major highways with their lights flashing; waiting. For what, no idea. The Weather Channel just said we are getting rain tonight. Now they are saying we are not going to get any snow on Christmas day. I sure wish they would stop flipping the coin over there and just make a decision; lol!!!

You got me! I can't figure it out.
It amazes me that these last several years being on MMC every day how we watch it all year long literally in this thread...and I figured that would slow it down as opposed to those who forget about Christmas for 11 months. That's why though I'm never sad when it ends because I feel like at the rate time goes now it's never "that" far away and each stage of the year just starts the build to the next Christmas Season.

Remember, the countdown to Christmas Season 2018 has been silently running since November 13!
Heck we're already almost 33% of the way back to the Bers starting again and that's a major marker for many of us here. Got to enjoy these days though everyone. These next few days are really what we crave the build to eventually lead to. Got to enjoy them now all the waiting, build up and work...1 more day of it to go.

My tree will still be up Jan 26th, forget about Dec 26th!

The wife won’t let me do that, even with the artificial tree...Jan 6th (or the weekend after that) is when ours comes down. We also have a real tree so I’m good with that coming down the 6th, but I’d love to keep things up until then.

Good evening all!

Today we kept one of my favorite traditions; we take boxes of cookies to various places around town. The local fire department, city building, post office, police station, local cultural center, library, etc... It is so much fun to watch Henry hand the boxes out and tell them Merry Christmas. He enjoys it and the folks always light up. So much fun!

To add to the fun, the weather forecast keeps getting better. They are now saying the rain we are getting through tonight and into tomorrow will turn to snow in the morning and put down an inch or so. Then on Sunday we should get another inch or two! Soooo, it seems like we should get a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!! We do not get them that often, so I am really excited!

Everyone have a great night

What a lovely tradition you have Iteachpercussion. Teaching Henry all about the spirit of giving.

Good 3-days-before-Christmas evening! I am beat. I went to bed around 2:30am trying to finish cooking the food for our employee luncheon today. I decided I would sleep on the couch so as to not wake my husband who had just worked 14 hours, but Loki sat in front of me in the living room and kept staring at me. He was telling me to go to the bedroom of course. Then I woke up at 5:30am for work and I am feeling it right now. The lunch was a hit, really happy that our employees enjoyed it. But I'm not done yet, I'm baking goodies right now for the gift boxes I will give my family members tomorrow. On the 24th I'll be able to relax as there is nothing planned but some quiet time with my husband on that day. Enjoy your Friday night everyone!

You know how they say that it's all about little things in life? Well, it's true. For some reason, I've always thought that no public transport operates in Norway on Christmas. Apparently, I was wrong. I've just checked the local bus schedule online and there are buses going on 25th! It means that I'm able to attend a Christmas Mass in the morning of 25th at my local Catholic parish. Yes! Rejoice! (Well, I could also potentially walk to the town centre but that's quite a burden, considering that the morning mass starts at 9.30 and it takes me an hour to get to the town centre by foot. It's all good if the weather is reasonable but I'm based in Western Norway and it rains here 89% of a time, so no need to put much hope in a local weather.) Also, good early morning from me! It's almost 5am in Norway right now and I've been up since 3am. Yup, I know, the weirdest sleeping pattern at its finest. Oops. :D

I think the Milestone markers help to speed things along. We are never very far from one of those.
