Lol!!! You can't find it here either. My mom loads up on it every time we go back to PA. She likes to get it from one of the Amish stores but had to settle for Giant Eagle last time. She's tried to get a couple of the neighbors to try it but so far, she's the only one that'll touch it.

I love it.

I try to get anyone I can to have a little bit of it when I cook it, 95% of them are afraid to venture down that road. I keep telling them, you don't know what your missing; who can turn down making a tasty meal out of everything that's left over from a pig, to be chopped into little pieces and made into a scrapple. Yum-yum-yum!!

Okay, now my mouth is watering!! Did she put the ham bone in with the green beans too?

Ohhh, that's soooooo good. I love with a big pot of mashed potatoes all smothered in melted butter with some salt and pepper. All you nee is a fork and knife, a loaf of bread and a tub of butter!!!!!

Hi everyone!

You won't remember me I'm sure, I only posted a little around the start of November last year. I got too busy with christmas to post but I kept checking in every once in a while, It was nice to see everyone enjoying the season and it helped give me a little extra christmas spirit. Feeling post christmas blues particularly hard today so thought I'd come say hi. Going to try and post regularly, you have a lovely community here. Hope everyone is well.

Welcome back, JessicaLouise! I'm sorry you are having a case of PCBs today. I hope that you are better and that you will visit a lot more! Have a merry rest-of-the-weekend!

Merry Sunday MMC ~
We’re expecting lots of rain today with highs near 50 degrees. I’m in for the day, don’t plan on going anywhere. My in laws are stopping by later this afternoon to meet Rocky. I’m making pasta with meat sauce and a tomato & mozzarella salad for dinner. Should be a relaxing day.
I hope everyone is well and has a wondeful day!
xx

Good Morning, Folks.
The second half of our weekend has begun.

We have also begun the LAST day of the first QUARTER of our Season count!

The daily figures:
Days to the Season: 275
Days to Christmas Day: 317

And indeed. As alluded to above, the SECOND quarter of our Season count begins tomorrow, Guys.
Can you believe that?
Seems like Christmas Season 2017 just ended such a short time ago and we have already moved so far along toward the 2018 installment!

In spite of some rain, we got all the way up to 66 degrees yesterday, and today we are predicted to reach 72. Very nice indeed for February!
(If things could stay like this, I wouldn't mind winter at all. In fact, it woul be better than true summer because it is minus all the humidity.)
Our current temperature reading here in the capital city is an incredibly balmy 68 degrees but we are under the threat of more rain.

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody!

Thanks Crown! Pretty amazing that we are ending the 1st quarter on the road back to the Season yet I'm still seeing signs of Christmas here!

Good morning folks.

Freezing rain here in Ohio today. So I will not be leaving the house. I do not want to take my car ice skating. ;)

Yesterday was a bit busy. I ran a bake sale with the National Honor Society yesterday. Henry had a Destination Imagination competition yesterday, and his team won their challenge! So they are headed to the state competition in March. My wife is the coach for the team also.

I do not have much on the to-do list today. A little laundry, a little lesson planning, and drinking coffee (what I do most of the time).

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, friends. Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

Been a busy week. A lot of moving things around and settling into our new reality. Things are well....

The wife, kids, and my Mom all went to eat last night and buy groceries. Good time. Not much on tap today except to cook for the week and clean the house up. Can't watch football, but racing and basketball are on!

Y'all have a good day!

Evening everyone.
Wow crazy to think how far into the countdown we are already! I'm enjoying checking into the forum everyday and getting that Christmas feeling, even if it is only for a short moment. I'm so glad I discovered this place. Just been relaxing today, Have a busy week ahead with lots of studying. I'm going home to see my family this weekend which I can't wait for. Have been back at university for over a month already so will be nice to go home although a weekend doesn't feel like enough!
Hope you are all having/ have had a good day!

Congratulations to Henry's team and their coach! How exciting to go to the state competition. Best of luck to all of them!

Merry Sunday!

The snow has finally stopped. It is blowing off the trees, though, so it is quite messy out there at times. There are huge icicles hanging all around the roof. Palmer is sitting in the window, watching a drop of water fall down an icicle. It is very pretty out, but we are in for quite the mess when it starts to melt in a day or so. I spent a good part of the morning making paths for my cats. Sore does not begin to describe how I feel at the moment. I should never have stopped!

Dinner is in the slow cooker (vegetarian Mexican lasagna) so I can take it easy for the rest of the day.

Be safe and merry!

Yep. Nine houses in our neighborhood still have their Christmas wreaths up.

Good afternoon MMC! It's a rare Sunday check in from me! It's also the last "girls day" for Miss Lucy & I! I've been watching lots of movies! I took over my hubby's big screen this week! :D He may have lost it for good! Ha ha! Now I have the Monster Energy Nascar race on.....to me it will always be the Winston Cup...or plain ol Nascar! ;) My hubby was supposed to be there today but I guess it took too long gathering his uncles things from the auction down there, so they ran out of time. Now they are watching at a Hooters.

We had some freezing rain this Morning & it's just been a dreary day. A good napping day!! And that is what Lucy has been doing!! Not much planned for the rest of the day. Hoping to find something good to watch on tv or Netflix/Amazon!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! (I can't believe it's Sunday already....)

There is nothing like the first few sips of coffee, first thing in the morning.

I opened up the curtains to let a little bit of the sun shine to come in while it is out. It’s supposed to rain here today and tomorrow. We have this family of house sparrows that are always in this hedge row on the side of the house and they are out there, just carrying on like no tomorrow, chirping away and singing. There’s also a pair of red birds out there too. I love to see the cardinals, the male is so bright red in contrast to the winter blahhh back drop.

My kitties are both sitting on the window sill, staring away, tails are swishing back and forth, they are probably thinking; breakfast!!!!!

My wife’s car has been having emission problems with the check engine light coming on. So, I take it to the mechanic. He calls me and tells me it needs 2200.00 of work. It’s a 2012, and it has original brakes, none of the original fluids have been flushed, original plugs, needs tires, alignment, fuel injection cleaning and more. I ask my wife, honey, did you ever have any of that done on the car since you bought it brand new. Answer: well, they kept on trying to get me to do things on it, but I always just said change the oil!

Ahhhhhh, now I understand. I love her, she’s so darn cute. (We’ve been married 4 months now, yesterday, to be exact, and so, I am slowly taking over the maintenance and fixing things, parts of her life, so she won’t ever have to worry about it again. And besides, I like that she sees that I want to protect her!!!!)

I just want her to be in a vehicle that’s safe and reliable, so in my eyes, money is nothing compared to her safety; she’s my wife and I love her. So, I’m getting all that done and more today, ohhhh, the emissions thing was a fuel/ oxygen sensor that apparently had failed.

I figure since it’s a nissian, it should last an additional couple of hundred thousand miles or more. She’s got 97,000 on it now and the majority of it is highway mileage.

Besides the car thing, I’m going to do some insulating around here in this old house (I was told it was built around 1920), and when the wind is blowing outside, I can feel the drafts and see the curtains move. We don’t own it, we are just renting it, but we pay the heating bills.....

Hope you all have a grand day today!
How sweet!! I always tell Jim vehicle maintenance is a "boy job!" :p

You know, I just had to talk about this further, because I find it interesting, only because I haven’t really experienced it till lately.

Well, ever since I moved up to Connecticut from Maryland, I have not been able to find any scrapple in the grocery stores. I kept scratching my head, not understanding why. My favorite brand, is Rappa scrapple, I’ve been eating it since I was a toddler. So, every place I go for breakfast up here, I ask, “do ya all have any scrapple?”. I get these blank looks or a reply of “what’s scrapple”? I even went to a Cracker Barrel up here, I figured if any place would have it, it would be there; nope! The waitress looked at me like I was speaking Dutch or something.

So, whenever I get back to Maryland, I go to a weis store and pick me up several packages of it and I bring it back to Connecticut.

Anyhow, I just found it fascinating that no one up here knows what it is. Ha-ha, you should of seen the look on this persons face behind the local deli here, when I asked him if he had any head-cheese back there.... I think at first he thought I was implying something! Lol....
No clue what scrapple is but I can about imagine...
