There is nothing like the first few sips of coffee, first thing in the morning.
I opened up the curtains to let a little bit of the sun shine to come in while it is out. It’s supposed to rain here today and tomorrow. We have this family of house sparrows that are always in this hedge row on the side of the house and they are out there, just carrying on like no tomorrow, chirping away and singing. There’s also a pair of red birds out there too. I love to see the cardinals, the male is so bright red in contrast to the winter blahhh back drop.
My kitties are both sitting on the window sill, staring away, tails are swishing back and forth, they are probably thinking; breakfast!!!!!
My wife’s car has been having emission problems with the check engine light coming on. So, I take it to the mechanic. He calls me and tells me it needs 2200.00 of work. It’s a 2012, and it has original brakes, none of the original fluids have been flushed, original plugs, needs tires, alignment, fuel injection cleaning and more. I ask my wife, honey, did you ever have any of that done on the car since you bought it brand new. Answer: well, they kept on trying to get me to do things on it, but I always just said change the oil!
Ahhhhhh, now I understand. I love her, she’s so darn cute. (We’ve been married 4 months now, yesterday, to be exact, and so, I am slowly taking over the maintenance and fixing things, parts of her life, so she won’t ever have to worry about it again. And besides, I like that she sees that I want to protect her!!!!)
I just want her to be in a vehicle that’s safe and reliable, so in my eyes, money is nothing compared to her safety; she’s my wife and I love her. So, I’m getting all that done and more today, ohhhh, the emissions thing was a fuel/ oxygen sensor that apparently had failed.
I figure since it’s a nissian, it should last an additional couple of hundred thousand miles or more. She’s got 97,000 on it now and the majority of it is highway mileage.
Besides the car thing, I’m going to do some insulating around here in this old house (I was told it was built around 1920), and when the wind is blowing outside, I can feel the drafts and see the curtains move. We don’t own it, we are just renting it, but we pay the heating bills.....
Hope you all have a grand day today!
