I also like the Alastair Sim version. So we tied a record here in Chicago with nine consecutive day's with snow, eighteen inches in seven days. Running out places to put it!

Sounds like Boston in 2015---one big snowstorm after another. We had 105 inches that winter. If you have a thick layer of snow on your roof, get it off somehow so you don't risk collapse or form ice dams, especially if the weather is staying cold.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Well, it's an unusual week already. Someone found a lost parakeet on their way to work and brought it in to the office rather than leave it outside (it nearly got hit by a couple cars already, she said). So he's here now. If he can't find his family, maybe he can find a new home.

Woke up with a nagging cough and a bit of a headache. The roads aren't plowed here, either, so I am staying home. Lots to do for the store here, and if I get tired I can rest. Just waiting for the sun to come out over the trees so that I can feed the animals.

Speaking (writing?) of the sun, it is supposed to be sunny for three days in a row! I'm sure the animals will be delighted. I know I am!

I hope so too. He's very tame, doesn't mind being handled, and doesn't bite. He's bright yellow like a canary, but he's a budgie. (He may be a she for all I know.)

All the time. Except if there's something major going on at the GWB where everything is backed up for 15 miles, the siri will divert me and take me over the Tap-n-zee bridge and keep me heading on a south west direction.

You will have to let me know the next time you come through. I live 10 minutes from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, I can see about getting some of the local scrapple for you.

Happy Monday!
It’s going to be cloudy today with a chance of a shower, highs near 45 degrees. Not too much going on here, just a typical day of errands and chores. I need to stop at the bank & post office. I also plan on taking a ride to HoneGoods to look around, haven’t been there in awhile. I’m going to make chicken soup and biscuits for dinner. That’s about it for me. Hope everyone is well. Morning MMC. The battle between winter and spring has begun here already. We had quite the rainy weekend here. And now back and forth to colder then warmer then colder then warmer temps. I still think at some point we'll get a big snowstorm before winter ends. We'll see though as we're supposed to be milder than average for the rest of February. I saw 5 seasons out at once in the store this weekend: Leftover Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Spring (seeds) and summer (bbqs). Never seen that many at one time in one store. Have a great Monday!

There are a lot of 40's in our 15 day forecast. Too early for that! I'm afraid we'll pay for it! Today started off at 15º - but sunshine!

(Now, that is starting to make things appear closer for sure, doesn't it?)

Wow. It was REALLY warm yesterday for February, topping out at 73 for the afternoon high. No rain too, despite threats. A truly perfect mid-winter day!
Today will see us cool off some, into the lower 60's, and rain is a distinct possibility.
We begin today at a temperature reading of 63 degrees, here.

Good Monday morning! A beautiful sunny Winter morning, not too cold, just perfect. Temperatures will warm up during the week and it's supposed to stay quite warm for the next couple of weeks. I'm watching the Olympics while having breakfast, while Loki is staring at birds and squirrels. The plan today is to tackle some deep cleaning around the appartment. Have a great day everyone!

Oh I love budgies! This one's beautiful! I'm so glad your coworker was able to rescue it. Hope it finds a loving home. A long time ago we had finches, including a beautiful blue/turquoise one that would do the most gorgeous mating dance. But after he passed away, we gave our remaining two to my in-laws, to join their group of birds. And now we take care of their birds when they go on vacation.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

An applicant for our general manager's position is in our conference room right now, video-interviewing with our director. We're all nervous about what kind of person will take our friend's job, and become our boss.

I spent Friday night and all day Saturday at Elizabeth's dance competition. I must confess, there were so many categories and so many trophies, I'm not really sure who won LOL. But, she had a great time, and there was a lot of talent to see, so it was fun. I was drafted to be a Stage Dad, and I had to lift and move props, so it was a little interesting.

I got to spend time with my new niece yesterday, too. Nancy was so jealous that I got to hold her first!
