What a bummer!!!!

We have a hole - in - the - wall Mexican establishment "opening soon" within a couple of miles the closed site. We hope it is worth the wait.

Good morning MMC!! It's a beautiful morning!! Too nice to be inside at work! I hung a load of laundry on the line this morning & I just wanted to hang out on the patio. But here I am. LOL! At least it's Friday Eve!!!! Rain is predicted for our Friday & Saturday! Go figure!!!

I planted flowers last night. I got 9 pots planted & I had to quit to make supper. I also need to get some more flowers! Some wascally wabbit got ahold of my flowers. He/she just munched on several of my flowers, but snapped off 2 of my bell pepper plants. Grrrr! Hopefully flowers will come back even stronger - not sure about them pepper plants! Needless to say the flowers I didn't get planted were moved into the garage last night. Little boogers!!!

Hippity - Hoppity Dept: Wabbits are always a flower bed problem...A brazen bunny sat in the dirt/pebble alley as I drove down to reach our driveway. I was darn near on top of him before he said, "Oh, you need to come through here." He than meandered off to the side, in no particular hurry, and I was able to go home.

I was darn near on top of him before he said, "Oh, you need to come through here." He than meandered off to the side, in no particular hurry, and I was able to go home.

We have them all over our yard this year!! All over the neighborhood! I plant my flowers in pots so hopefully they will be safe now that they are either planted or in the garage. I did let 1 flat of marigolds outside, but I covered them in Cayenne powder! For some reason they don't like cayenne. HA!

The wife and I bought one of those white noise makers at Bed Bath and Beyond, let me tell you, they work great. Now we cannot sleep unless we have one on at home or take one with us when we travel.

I know what you mean. When we go on vacation, we might forget the suitcase, but the fan is in the car!

Good advice! And good luck with the dry out & the repairs. I remember having them blowers going at my parents house when construction workers were ripping off their roof & a huge storm was coming. Sky was black as black could be - what were they thinking??? Needless to say - that did not end well. But the repair process was interesting!! All turned out well & I hope yours does too!

So far, so good. The area has been disinfected and the blowers come out tomorrow. Then the reconstruction will begin. Should be completed early next week.

Hey friends! Almost the weekend. It’s official as of yesterday: I’ve got my first full time job in my field! So happy. I’m also truly enjoying the rain we are getting-it’s so calming and peaceful. Enjoying it with a good book tonight. Happy Friday Eve!!

Happy Thursday ~
It’s going to be another cloudy & rainy day with highs near 68 degrees. Not too much going on here today, just a typical day of errands and chores. I also need to practice some “homework” with Rocky. His last obedience class is on Saturday. On top of knowing all of the basic commands he’s supposed to do a trick as well lol. Wish us luck. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

I'm curious to know what trick you are teaching Rocky. We haven't tried teaching Loki new tricks since he was little. Could be fun to try again. I'm picturing little Rocky giving his paw or rolling over and it must be the cutest thing.

Sale Fest in Frankenmuth today. Started at 8 a.m. and finished around 2:30 p.m. Lost track of how many garage sales I stopped at, but at the end of my trip, I had a few goodies for the store and a few Christmas ornaments for me.

Oh my gosh. So what kind of trick is Rocky going to do?? I would be at a loss. Lucy does the basics - sit, paw, other paw - she's USUALLY pretty good with the "come" command. Sometimes she'll lay when we tell her too. That's about it! LOL! Good luck! Enjoy your day!

Thank you! I’m working on teaching Rocky how to roll over. He’s actually doing pretty well. I think it’s all about the treats. They have to be really good ones!

TGIF MMC! Enjoy today. Looks like we have more rain moving in later this evening and into Saturday. But the weekend is coming! And it's the last one before the big one Memorial Day! And then we're on the summer road back to the Bers. Incredible how fast this year has been going. Have a great TGIF!

Merry Friday!
It’s going to be cloudy with showers, highs near 60 degrees. I have to go to the supermarket this morning to do some food shopping. I also need to stop at the butcher. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I’m going to pick up marinated steaks from the butcher for dinner tonight. I’ll make baked potatoes & creamed spinach as well. Should be a relaxing evening, we’ll just be catching up on some shows. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great weekend ahead!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's another day of rain in the forecast, with more coming this weekend, but we sure need it.

I'm still vacuuming the pool, and adjusting the chemicals. It's hard to keep up with, with all of the rain that's falling, but it has to be done. Maybe I'll do some pressure-washing, too. I'd be wet anyway, so I can wash in the rain, right?
