Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!!

Thanks to all of you for the thoughts & prayers for my FIL! He is back home. They are thinking he had a TIA, but all of his tests came back fine...so I guess that means they really don't know!! Last night he was feeling better, but he said he's still a little dizzy/wobbly. He's not able to drive right now, which is hard for him! Just makes him want to go somewhere, even more! Hopefully this all turns out well! xx

Not much up today besides work. Seems like it could be a long day!! Wednesdays are always slower, for whatever reason! Might have to find something Christmassy to watch/listen too on Netflix or Youtube!

It’s going to be cloudy today with a chance of showers, temperatures will be in the upper 60’s. My husbands birthday is today. We’ll be celebrating later tonight. I’m going to make lasagna for dinner and bake a cheesecake for dessert!

Morning MMC and Happy Pines Day! Well it wasn't the best birthday and start to 40 as I lost my wallet and then my coworker who's been there 18 years told me she's leaving. Yeah I'm like thanks for the birthday gift lol. But I guess the first day of being 40 is teaching me adversity. Cancelled the cards (credit, debit) and new ones on the way already. Just need to order a replacement license. I hope you all enjoy your day!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Once again we find ourselves at mid-week and near the threshold of the Shispering Pines and its much-coveted Wednesday evening open house.
More about that after the numbers presentation and a check on our next Milestone.

Days to the Season: 153
Days to Christmas Day: 195

And guess what?
We are now UNDER 2 weeks off from the HALF WAY marker to Christmas Day.
Closing in on on single digits to yet another Milestone!
(Can we take the pressure?)

We had a remarkably cool day yesterday with a high of only 70 degrees. It was overcast but we had no further rain.
Now for today, the heat is predicted to return and we should hit close to 90 by this afternoon. We will remain dry, however.
Currently, it is sunny and we record a temperature reading of 70 degrees.

With spring nearly over and the first day of summer looming just up the road, Carl is taking steps to transform the inn accordingly. Summer decor, summer eats, pool cleaning and prep. You get the idea. But what won't change is that complimentary fired twinkie at the door and that cooling, tall glass of iced tea, sweetened to perfection in correct southern style.
Will we see you there?

Merry Pines Day! A pretty dreary day today and we are supposed to get showers and maybe a t-storm later. Last night I ended up going out with my 2 friends and had a great time. We sat outside, had dinner and a glass of wine and they had live music too. It was so relaxing. Tonight we are having tacos for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Hope your FIL is better! Something similar happened to my dad a few years ago and it ended up being vertigo. He could not even walk straight and was really dizzy.

Thanks SFM! I never thought of vertigo. My Dad dealt with that from time to time! Although with my FIL his symptoms started out with his right arm moving, going in directions he wasn't telling it too & his right leg going numb. All the other symptoms would be accurate for vertigo though! He also has trigeminal neuralgia - I wonder if some of this isn't linked to that. Seems like docs don't know enough about that around here!

Hello all. Getting some much needed rain today. The front garden was looking a little parched. A friend dropped off eight hostas after he did some splitting in his garden so they need to get into the ground. I'm coming down with a little summer cold, but I'll persevere. Maybe some warm sugar cookie tea will do the trick. Have fun today everyone.

It's such a pain to lose a wallet. And I still carry things like little "I love you, Daddy" notes with pink hearts from Elizabeth, and a Star Wars Valentine's note from Jacob, both when they were very small. I know I should put them away for safe-keeping, but I like finding them when I'm digging through my wallet for some obscure password that I've forgotten. Yes, I know I shouldn't write passwords down, but there are just to many of those doggone things these days LOL.

Good Pinesday morning, Christmas friends!

Mama's birthday party went great! Jim and I got the grilling done before the rain, but we were cutting it close. We had fresh burgers & hot dogs, and I grilled a pan-full of sliced new potatoes, squash and sweet onions with olive oil and Season-All. It was great!

Also, Jacob brought his new girlfriend to the party. It was funny to watch them trying to eat with one hand, while holding hands under the table.

That crazy Camel, Carl, sent Mama a 'Pines summer blend over ice. I don't know how he prevented the ice from melting during the trip, though. He's a miracle-worker!

Glad to hear that your FIL is back home! Ugh for the TIA diagnoses. It usually takes Mom about a week to get her strength and balance fully back after she has one.
